But once you hit the sweet spot in doisng, nutrient export etc you wont need to monitor so often. Just let it run and monitor every few weeks. starting up is usually the most expensive and most tedious process.

I have a green and red monti, my red on is encrusting very nicely and have grown to almost twice its size. However my green one has no growth, and it is not encrusting. Have some PE but dunno why just not growing
