  3. Good day fellow enthusiast! After the success of my 4x2x2 reef tank, i've been itching to start a 15"x15"x20"h FOWLR tank. Just ordered the tank and hopefully will receive by next week. Now its a head ache on whats best for filtration. Heres a few questions where i hope you guys could help me out. 1) Most FOWLR i see online have simple live rocks where no caves are made. Don't fish need places where they can hide? 2) i have a small cabinet where i will be putting the tank on. In the compartment there is about 1ft of space. Is it possible to design a sump that is that small?
  4. Hello fellow reefers. Im planning to build a nano tank consisting of mostly LPS. Im planning to use an undergravel filtration system. This is what I planned.. Do you think it will work well? Any inputs from you guys would be much appreciated! Thanks for looking up!
  5. Hi guys. From the look of my sump, do you think that it is sufficient for a 422 tank? Do you have any suggestion on what more I can add to improve? Currently I have a 300 gal capable skimmer, rubbles, refugium.

  8. So what is this 'kick' in time for chaetos?
  9. I need help on my skimmer being set up... According to the manual I had, its recommended sump water is 6" to 6.5". My sump water level is 11.5" so I had it raised with a bucket to the right height. But the issue now is that I don't think it is right. The outlet mouth as you can see in picture 2 is only half submerged and is making a lot of splashing noise. And if you see in the third picture, a lot of micro bubbles are coming out of the outlet. I tried replacing the green bucket with one of a lower height so that the skimmer sits lower by about 1.5" but it creates another problem. Water just overflows out of the cup. I wish someone could offer me a solution as to what I have done wrong in this set up...
  10. Would putting chaeto help the process? I have a refugium in my sump but dont know when is the right time to stock the refugium.
  11. Hi guys thanks for all the info! After much reading, i just dumped 2 market prawns into the tank! Question is, is 2 enough? I have a 4 by 2 by 2 tank. And another, do i have to plant the prawn in the sand? Cause all i hear them say is dump in the tank....

  15. Wah i now headache.... The tank maker like 50/50 can be trusted... He say he would do the sump next week or next next week, he also dont know... Dont know whether to use the current sump or not....

  17. Hello another forum! I just received my 4 feet tank yesterday. Bad news is that i would only receive my sump in a week or so because the current sump could not fit my skimmer. I had it redesigned to also house a refugium. Currently i made the water and salt mixture, filled it half my tank and let it circulate with a pump. Do you guys have any suggestion on what i can do in the mean time while waiting for my sump to arrive?
