  1. Is phytoplankton a food source for Zoas? One lfs (I forgot which one) told me that I can feed it phytos but I never saw any reaction when I did
  2. Any idea how to get it back to proper conditions? I'm gonna transfer it to a larger tank by December so I don't want it to be unhealthy when I transfer it over :/
  3. Oh interesting but I can't feed my carpet anemone market prawns cause they'll dirty the water very fast. The tank is small so the dirty water would not dilute. I have noticed it grabbing onto frozen mysis shrimp during feeding time too. Maybe that's how it grew so much?
  4. Update: after some investigation, I'm quite sure it's a maxi mini carpet anemone
  5. @Terryz_ if it doesn't filter feed then what is it consuming? Should I stop dosing the tank with phytoplankton then?(it's the only non fish in the tank)
  6. Oh and another thing to note: it supposedly came from Indonesia. Idk if that would help with the ID though
  7. It has been there for more then a month now and it is growing in size (it's approximately 6 times it's original extended size now) so I don't see how it's bleached
  8. It looks so cool imo, but it doesn't look safe :/ Maybe you could put a glass cup over it until you can get an id? Then it can't wreak havoc in your tank
  9. Can someone please help ID this anemone? Thanks! Oh and a few things about it: Its non-photosynthetic(it hides in the darkest corner of my tank) It filter feeds(It is growing and hasn't eaten any fish from the tank YET) The tentacles at its edges are longer than its center and they are green(Florescent ), compared to the center pink.
  10. I have managed to keep an anemone alive by filling a bottle with hyper salinated saltwater and keeping it in the freezer. If the days gonna be very hot ill put it in my nano tanks sump but it's very inefficient and I guess carpet anemones are hardy creatures
