  1. the algae blenny hosting a leather(he really hosts it when he's resting he is always there) And the pink skunk in an anemone. Funny how he doesn't share it with his mated pair lol
  2. just set up the triton system. So far so good but kh is on the low side (6.5) so I'm gonna have to bump that up. I may be able to put sps in within a month gotta get it stable then I'm set to go!
  3. thanks! here's an update on him. Sitting in the corner as usual, and growing rather fat
  4. I rescaped the whole tank recently because of the lack of surface area to put much corals. Here are some pics. I also got quite a few more corals but I guess it's still far from completion as promised it is a mixed reef. Now its still too early for me to host sps so that's the only type of coral not in the tank yet. Else there's mostly lps, a nps(tube anem, sponge and sea fan), multiple softies, and a bunch of other stuff. I'm also starting a collection of tiny colorful blennies and whatever else but no pics for now
  5. Starfish really cannot take unstable perimeters. Wait at least a month AFTER cycle to get any. And you can't keep it in a bag while waiting for your cycle to finish. Good luck and happy reefing!
  6. Wow so many torches. Nice Is your tank lighting really this white irl? Your corals will start bleaching if it is.
  7. Lime green is normal algae. The purple one looks like coralline. Are you sure it grew all of a sudden or was it already there from before. One thing I noticed is that coralline from the sea has duller colors than coralline from reefers tanks
  8. Ok now I know that so I won't try again. What about things like lettuce slugs? I read that they can be kept longterm in aquariums. Is that true?
  9. Oh Ok. If they depend on corals and such then keeping them is out of the question I guess
  10. Hi all, I have been trying to keep exotic sea slugs recently, like those with fluorescent colors and such. What is the care requirements for them? I have had one die within 2 days and I have no idea why. Is there something I am supposed to feed them regularly?
  11. The glue became fragile over the mouth and broke off easily for all 4 polyps
  12. Sorry for not posting so actively, but I have been undergoing a phosphate-cyano problem recently, and found out that mysis shrimp gets caught in the wave maker causing it to decay in the tank. I have started a zoo wall to cover the overflow box A slug/nudi collection: Lettuce nudi Pink cucumber Unknown slug(not nudi as it doesn't have the feathers on its back) it has a nice blue fluorescence too 2 part fts Right Left
  13. thanks so much this is so relieving for me.
  14. Hi all, I have a problem. I accidentally got cyanoacrylate glue on a frag of zoa. 3.5 of 6 of the zoa got a thin later of glue on them. Please help I don't want this frag to melt :/ if worst comes to worst ill remove the healthy heads and toss out the rest. Oh and I also want to ask if I get glue on other corals like LPS and SPS, could I get it off? Can anyone with experience help?
  15. Ups! Don't mind going to the west if you have a lot of zoas for sale
  16. Ups! I can only go to East places tomorrow so if you want to sell me anything please reply asap
  17. lol why post here? My elegance doesn't open when there is too little light and when the phosphates are too high
  18. saw but not really interested. Thanks for suggesting anyway
  19. I have a very very bad cyano problem due to new tank syndrome now. At its worst the cyano carpet was at least 1 cm thick. Currently turning off lights but there seems to be a thin layer which doesn't one to come off
  20. Ok I found some people to get gsp from. Now I'm only looking for zoas. Ups and a happy new year to all
  21. Hi all, I'd like to purchase gsp and zoanthids. Preferably on frags and preferably in the east. Any type of gsp or zoa can as long as it is healthy and has fluorescence and bright color. Note that I will only pay a max of $15 for each. Pm me if you are selling. Thanks!
  22. You cannot have deionized water for human consumption. We need ions in our water, aka tds, which is removed by Di units. However RO and dechlorinators is good for human consumption
  23. I had red color bristlestars on my sea fan which ate the flesh off it.
