that's strange. i saw a fully submerge unit before. reason given by the user is that it suck in too much air during operation and casues micro bubbles.

I have seen a wave box fully submerge, ie at the bottom of the tank. It is working fine. Therefore there is no need for it to extend above water surface. Maybe user can provide better insight.

I have not been using rotifer since my culture crash. I m now using Aquaz golden pearls w a mixture of sizes.

I think shld be no problem becos yr FR will only need 300-600L/H flow. U can connect yr FR in series. Assume minus some head loss here and there, there should be abt 2000L going thru yr chiller.

Dont give up bro, frequent feeding will help. U may also need to maintan yr Ca and KH at proper level. The rest, have to let nature take its own cause liao.

Just to add on, it was also reported that the cynarina will continue to feed as per normal. But since there is no skeleton to weigh it down, it keeps floating around.

Bro, r u sure? I have known of a senior reefer who has reported his red cynarina leaving its skeleton in SRC. He is now a founder of another reef forum. Pls check out previous post in SRC. Its more than a year since it has been reported.

i would suggest stop feeding the denimar powder. wait for the deniball to go in 1st before feeding.

did u load in any deniballs into the NR1000?

dont bother w this seachem product (zeolit base). it does not work at all. I used as per instructed and have no effects. I also tried seachem Purigen (resin base), it does not work also. Cheap as this product maybe, but the effect is just not the effort and money Sori to hijack this tread.
