wow, so fast? Mine NR400 running for > 6months and the deniballs consume maybe 10-20%. Afew other reefers running the NR1000 has their deniballs running for more than a year. Its very fast that the deniballs been consume.

I have a similar experience during my early reefing days. Anemone gone missing(melted). My skimmer skims like mad but no crash. Increase aeration should help to breakdown NH4 more faster. Nowadays no more anemone for me. All the best.

1. from the pics, u are using SP3000 to feed the NR1000. But SP3000 is a fix rated pump(ie 3L/H), if so how to increase or control the drip rate of the NR1000. 2. Does the NR1000 need continuos feeding of denimar powder? I thou once the bacteria is establish, the deniballs in the NR1000 will feed the bacteria there is no need to feed the NR1000 w denimar powders again.

Can u share yr secret to yr success of ever spliting rics. Mine seems to split maybe once a year.

i dont trust test kit for pH, its best to use a monitor. with monthly calibration.
