Hello THC, I have not gotten any reply from Dr Evil yet. I m asking becos I have some very bad experience w MH tubes made in China. To share the experience, I have bot 2 pcs of 150W dual end MH tubes during the last Aquarama from a China vendor/exhibitor. Think the brand is TF or something like that. They claim the arc was made by Venture and spectrum + intensity can hold for a year at least, unlike some other China brands in the market, which is manufacture domestically, sepctrum will run, intensity will drop after few months usage. After running the tubes for 2 months, cyno and wat ever aglae start to boom like no body biz, which indicate spectrum has indeed shifted. During the 3rd month, both bulb burn one month after another. This has shattered my confidence on China made MH bulbs. Therefore nowadays I prefer to pay a bit more for germans MH tubes and achieved the desired results. So far the german MH tubes have not given me any problem at all.

I fully agree w bro MT. My existing CR fails to consider it and resulted in me having to tilt the CR after a few days to release the N2 gas built up. Having said that, i know of some local DIY CR have this special CO2 release valve to bleed off excess CO2, I m sure this will come in handy to release the N2 built up. It is also a know fact from both commercial and my DIY unit that the effluent out put tends to clog (due to bacteria film form), its is also highly recommended users "flush" their unit by full blasting the NR once a while (maybe once a month) to have optimal performance in their NR.

Nay, no way i can do it. The cost of modification (if its ever possible) will be more than the price for a brand new RD. Uncle Sam shld be able to gif u a good price in view of the support you have shown. If that happens, mind if I piggy back on yr RD too. Opps, sori to the tread started, off topic. In conclusion, S base denitrator works. If u have the dough, a german denitrator is the way to go. Else u can choose to DIY/Convert a normal CR to a S base denitrator.

Reason why it is not kicking off is the high cost. Can u imagine paying more than $1000 for a sulphur base denitrator?

Bro, I notice the hammer seems to lose its colour too. Think u need to do something abt it, becos from my experience, it will slowly waste away in a matter of months. It could be yr light. Just guessing only.

It not a neccessary to have. If yr Ca up take is really that much, u might as well invest in a CR. Else normal topping up limewater or Ca additives shold does it
