For me personally, since u oredi hv a gd led lightset, no point introducing t5, just stick with led.... As for led coverage...this is a highly contentious area ...its not about lying or telling half truths since everything is captured by the subjectivity of the human eye.....but the results can be clearly determined thru comparison or experience.

To TS......on the topic of lighting....since u oredi hv hydra 52 may i suggest u consider putting 2 more for a gd coverage of your 2x2 tank...i hv seen a fellow reefer with 2x2 tank having successful and gd coloration of his sps with 1 hydra 52 and 2 radion (oso 52 led per unit)... Prior to that ...i m personally disappointed by so many led lighted tanks where sps colors are dull as hell.... So the answer with led is actually with more led coverage..... If u use t5, you will hv no such issues...just my humble opinion and i mean well....

From what i know and understand...champion koi keepers feed their jumbo kois 7 to 12 times daily to speed up growth... But they also do daily water change despite having top of the line bio filtration and nutrient export systems....hence if u translate such feeding methods to the reefing scene, then i suppose we need to ask the same type of question as these champion koi keepers....

I m impressed by TS who is able to make such a list of options with pros and cons...i think its a gd start.... I heard from a fellow reefer who uses the polylab product that emulates zeovit but requires less usage intensity and user activity, ie. Simply dose 4 products daily. For me a lazy reefer, i use AIO and throw in some additives (e.g biodigest, reefbooster, color elements, goodbye po4) after weekly water change to have a 0.2 no3 environment. So i suppose we can have many paths to the same goal where creating a low nutrient system is concerned. Yes of course if one chooses to hv reduced lifestocks, that too helps with the process. Perhaps that is a reason why many sps dominated tanks hv mainly functional livestocks or small livestocks.... I know Andtsg personally and while i agree that he is really a humorous guy, i find his knowledge and willingness to experiment, explore and share his views openly to be a huge asset to the community. He is a good guy

Bro giantbicycle, I do appreciate your candour and clarifications are certainly in order. My original intention was to take this to another forum. In fact, the discussions and debates are actually done at RD FB site concurrently. Point is....at the end of the day, i was prepared to accept the final hydra 52 deal but i feel deeply aggrieved at the warranty issue which RD decided to broadcast and i decided to clarify matters. Otherwise it may appear like i hv been an ungrateful customer which is far from the truth. In any case, i m still pursuing the warranty issue actively for the buyer of the hydra 52 as part of my responsibility to pass on the best to the buyer.

Reason for what i did believe it or not was to protect RD's interests. I suppose this deal was only done in view of all the crap i went thru so by right nobody else would be getting it unless they went thru the same crap like me.... But i do sincerely apologize.

Let's discuss the spirit of warranty. For me, the interpretation of "warranty being non transferrable" is that the warranty for one product is tied to its serial number and will be strictly used for this serial number. This same warranty cannot be used to fix a similar product with another serial number. The notion that a warranty is tied to the person is wrong interpretation and illogical. By the same token, if a new product has been offered in exchange for a spoilt product foc, then its fair that the warranty of the new product be back dated to the original purchase date. However, if the new product is bring paid for then the same warranty period should be abided. The new product and its owner should not be discriminated upon and the serial number should not be marked.

Bro kenyee, to be fair to buyers i want this matter clearly resolved. Everything should be above board. I sense that RD discriminates based on buyer info, ie. even if the set is brand new and warrantied, they can unilaterally decide to void the warranty. Sherman, sad to say that is their policy which in my opinion is silly. Warranty should be voided only if buyers decide to try to pry open the product to make theor own modifications. This policy serves to show how they treat customers. They seem to want to get rid of support as soon as they can.... Then again u may wish to hv somebody from reef depot respond to this matter ...they may hv ways around such things....for example, the item may hv changed hands many times over warranty but Reef depot only looks at record not buyer.... Wait a minute....if this is the case then doesn't this smack of a serious case of customer prejudice and discrimination ? Like i mentioned earlier, lots of issues to discuss so this may not be the right forum for it.... I will start the clarification and examination process soon regarding the statement made by Reef Depot regarding my 2 brand new hydra 52. Stay tuned.... Get your friends to tune in too, especially those who wish to venture into this happy reefing hobby...they need to be made aware.

Pls note that the feedback i received from AI HQ is that warranty is non transferrable which means to say that this does not just apply to these 2 products but anybody who has sold their AI product within warranty period.....
