I have only used it foe 4 days, not really fine tuned yet, the foaming is instant, so easy to run in. ley's look at the union, so easy to screw and unscrew for cleaning, just twist and turn.

Skimmer in action after 4 days

I have a custom made twin beckett manufactured by Oceanwerx/Bio Ocean. The skimmer is 27" tall powered by two 4000lph pump (Rio 20 and SEN900). The skimmer is divided into 3 sections to enable me to fit into my sump, the diameter of the skimmer is about 8", the first 2 sections is 7.5" and the top section with the collection cup is 11", giving it a total height of 27" The top section with the collection cup/foam tower is connected to the middle section through a union, this makes connection very easy, no small screws to unscrew and screw back after cleaning. You do not realise screwing is so tough until you have done it!!! Here are some pics

I have the above skimmer for sale, used since January 2005. No pump included, recommended pump MD 55. I have not taken any pictures. Can check Aqua C website for more details. looks like detritus to me, btw your corals also don't look healthy to me.

just relocate it to a higher flow area, if it should stand up. They are hardy corals, not need to worry about water parameters unless your temp is very high

I suggest you to tell your friend to use his head and not his heart and set the girl free from him. Short term pain is better than long term pain as he may end up losing his current gf and his family and friends. Also he will be a poor man in spirit and wealth. Not to say that the relationship won't work due to the age gap but no point taking chances at this stage. Not an easy decision.

When they turn white they become soft and that means they are dying or dead, so pull those white ones out and leave the green ones behing. They grow easily under ANY fluorescent light, probably faster with stronger lights.
