Yup, my EV 240 also give me the same kind of skimmate, takes a few weeks to run in. Have you tried taking them to the circus? Just kidding. In our part of the world most of these clowns are caught with cyanide and that's why most of them do not survive well, even they are not caught with cyanide, the mortality rate from the time they were caught until it reaches your home can be as high as 90% because these are delicate fishes and easily succumb to stress. I have a 2.5ft ht bare bottom tank, I find that at this height it is not easy to clean, you need a ladder and you really have to stretch to the back of the tank unless you can have access from the back, if you only have access from the front better go for a shallower tank especially so if you are not a tall person, of course the depth also plays a part.

I have a longnose hawkfish for more than 2 years, they are a bit clumsy and shortsighted and sometimes tends to missed the food target even the food is in front of them. What I do is I used chopped prawns mixed with vitamins, cyclopeeze etc, and use place it in front of the return pump or pump so that the food is blown all over the tank and all fishes, shy or aggressive have a chance including the hawk. This fishes only eats frozen food or dried krill or similar but not flake or pellet food.

My goodness, i noticed some omy zoos (I got plenty), star polyps and my xenia was not opening. I saw a max of 4 few days ago and had them removed, then I removed another 2. My Xenia was not opening and look sixk and shrinking abd I just saw a whole bunch of nudi coming out from there, they use the base of the xenia as host all these while, I took the Xenia out and the root/base was part rotten/soft so they were hiding here all this while! When I removed them with pincers, some of their "feelers" dropped off, do they multiply from there? Any idea?

Yes they are in my refugium, they are copepods and indeed some are parasites, because they are so small it is difficult to tell what species they are unless you have a sharp eye.

Though I better let you know that the Sgt Major will eat a lot and grow very fast and aggressive, the bicolour dottyback is an aggressive fish and will chase other fishes if you intend to add more fishes to your tank. The green grass (turtle weed) is difficult to keep, require strong lighting and water flow, most will perish in a few months. Welcome to the hobby.

No the higher the kelvin, the more blue is the colour. Price wise Daz wins hands down but to do a proper comparison, you need to a have a lot more info, like lumens etc. Some tubes lose a lot of intensity after a few months use, atinic turning white etc, to do a comparison will take a lot of effort and time and not just on the surface othewise you are not doing justice to the other brand. Time will tell if more reefers uses Daz and give their feedback to us here.

It is a small amount, not sure if the police is willing to go all out to help, furthermore he has a dispute like you like the MH is not working and you do not have any document to spell out the terms of the sale, so it would be quite difficult. You can take it as a lesson learn, always sell on COD and no guarantee whatsoever. If the police is going to go all out to help you, you have a decent chance at least to talk or find him, as the police has a lot of other cases to handle they may just take your report and do nothing about it as to get the person's particulars from the telco company require a lot of papaerwork and procedures to comply and even they have his particulars they will not give them to you. These are shy fishes and known to be high jumpers, unless you do not have peaceful and big fishes you have a better chance to keep this beautiful fishes otherwise it will disappear as it is a shy feeder and hides most of the time esp if you have big fishes like tangs and aggressive fishes like damsels, wrasses etc.

Looks like a sea slug/nudibranch. Better remove it to play safe as these are not easy to keep, when they die they release toxons which can kill your tank's inhabitants. They require specialised feeding which mormal aquariums cannot provide, better don't take unnecessary risks.
