I've heard the growth rate is not that different but the colors are different. Some people even go for t5 led hybrid systems.

That bobbit is huge! I bet it's at least a feet when stretched. Had a nasty one before too. I would take out the rock, soak it in the freshwater. Try to poke with tongs and pull out everything from the holes on the live rock.
