Saw a few emperor angels at CF yesterday, 7-8 inches. -
Bought the reddish peacock from CF today, reddish female peacock. Last one left. Worker there told me someone bought 3 peacocks at a go! Thanks guys!

Yes coralwilson. The green ones are the male peacock mantis, female is more reddish

Very nice tank and collection of fishes bro! Interesting to know that your tank's temp is at 30-31. Mine is that 'hot' too and I am still thinking whether to go for a chiller. Mind sharing what is capacity of your tank plus sump and all? Advantage of a large tank like yours is that the water parameters are much more stable. I am into mantis shrimp and frogfishes btw - thanks for alerting me to the peacock at sea life.
-
Nice, will be visiting CF this Sunday then. Thanks whiskie!
-
Thanks nicktc and whiskie! Saw the one at pacific reef, it is too small. Whiskie, may I know what sizes are those that you saw at CF? I bought the peacock mantis at sea life, it has settled nicely. I have partitioned my tank and have space for a neighbor.

Hi Folks, I have decommed my tank and have 3 fishes left to sell: 1) Yellow Dottyback (4inches, bought at $15 from Pinnacle selling at $8) 2) Domino Damsel, red sea variety(1.5 to 2 inches, bought at $15 from Iwarna selling at $8) 3) Azure Damselfish (1.5 inches, selling at $2) will throw in a small azure damselfish for free All in bundle at $10 for the fishes if you could adopt my mantis shrimp or help bring it to one of the fish farms/shops. Good for starters in this hobby, trust that you would not just dump the mantis shrimp down the drain. Or you can just take my mantis shrimp for free if anyone is interested, priortiy is to find a good home for my mantis shrimp, been with me for 6 months. Please contact me at 8218 0808. Thank you for reading!

This is the zebra mantis shrimp (dark stripes across body), which is a spearer while peacock mantis shrimp is a clubber. It is probably the largest among all mantis shrimp species and is normally caught as seafood, i think it's called 濑尿虾 in restaurants.

i also scour the internet for lots of info before committing to buy the frogfish. if my memory serves me correctly, i think there are folks in the west who have kept frogfish on diet of mollies or guppies for 2-3 years. Not sure about carbo, but i thot the problem with FW fish is because of certain higher fats content, so not good in the long term. My warty is thriving at the moment, constantly looking out from inside the betta box trying to lure my azure damsel with its esca. I think it is of a good size, dun want it fat cos of indigestion problem as they tend to overeat. I have read that they do not feed 'all the time' in the wild. I also keep a peacock mantis shrimp in my nano (another reason why warty needs to be in betta box) with 2 azure damsels, 1 yellow dottyback, 1 domino (variety) damsel and 3 three tube anemones. I feed all of them market prawns (soaked in selcon every 2-3 feedings) and all are thriving well. May start warty on the market prawn but dun know if dead food would work. I think having a good feeding regime is key among others and it keeps the nitrates at a manageable level for your system, so you are asking very good questions.
