    I like your rockscaping and layout of corals. Nice, neat and tidy but I really regret never do 4 feet tank and instead I did a 3 feet which not much space left.

    I suggest you start with FOWLR first and then see whether you want to start LPS as keeping LPS at least make water temperature below 28 degree and if water is too warm for them and when they start dying, the water will be polluted by dying LPS. That is why I'm having a sump for my 3 ft tank. Easier for water changes, water to export to chiller to cool. Otherwise u need many fans to cool the water.

    My noisy fan is Dymax also currently I change to my older one that I got from pet mart. So the variable resistor is potentiometer and get it from sim lim tower?

    Hang on filter not much issue, if need to reduce water temperature, running fan is most noisy unless u off the fan during sleeping and on air con. I can hear my fan running in the kitchen from my master bedroom toilet.

    Well it does not have a build in controller so the white and blue lights mostly manually control except u power it up and let it run, it will have 15 mins sunrise effect and then fix at a setting which i am quite comfortable with. But I really like the lights because not many metal as the previous beamwork led holding stand keep rusting and stain my tank. The negative side is the touch control u dunno which level of lightings it is set currently. It always starts at maximum level of 30 then all the way down to 0 and then back to 30.

    No for my 3 feet tank. I got another nano tank with 2 anemones but my platinum clown haven host yet... Fren I went to your place before and bought the BM NAC remember??

    Got it from Fresh n Marine at $140. Good for zoas, mushroom and bubble tip anemone. Been using 3 days but not as intelligent as my Maxspect Razor as you cannot program the light as when power up using timer plug, it will perform auto sunrise mode for 15 mins and then set a constant setting which so far my corals and anemone are doing ok. The sunset mode does not perform as timer plug just cut off the power.

    I had 2 goni and both used to skretch but my black clown pair keep disturbing it and both do not skretch. I place one in my Nano and trying to nurse it but end up it died and pollute the water which I did a 100% WC in my nano. The other is still in my main 3 feet tank but partial of the goni died and it never skretch. All other LPS are doing well and now my clownfishes always hang around at my torch coral which both are happy with each other. Goni still surviving but don't skretch. I measure water parameters still ok for KH, Ca and Mg. But no3 still high around 30 ppm.

    I failed with 3 attempts for marine as most of the times water gets dirty too easily as fishes like clownfishes poo a lot. Even I do WC twice a week they still got ich and died. The next 2 attempts keeping only a fish or no fish also failed. So keeping grass alike water plants plus tetras using ADA soil and so far 3 months no WC and only top up water. All fishes ok and plants growing well. I still determined to keep nane reef tank and started this with a list of equipments: 45cm x 20 cm x 20cm tank Boyu skimmer Small Overhead Filter Beamworks LED lightings Successfully keep my platinum clowns for 1.5 months with once a week WC. Coral like zoas not doing well, so change lightings as beamworks stand gets rusty easily and getting higher power overhead filter. So now added LR and bubble tip anemone with new lightings.

    Hi anyone keep one spot tail blenny? How long does it take to come out from hiding? Just bought one yesterday at iwarna. Put it in main tank today and up to now haven see a sign of it...

    Using this is quite difficult to keep marine and end up I decom and up at my office running a planted aquarium.

    Brittle sea star... Adopted from my wife's uncle who just decom together with live rocks. Gonna monitor it for a few days.
