an article @ advancedaquarist states a skimmer only removes 20% of organics. would it be worthwhile to just use higher amount of activated carbon to remove organics instead?

hi bro i got one of those red starfish. not too sure if its reef safe but i saw it going over some of my zoas frags like no one business. it will roam all over the tank. sometimes it will stick itself in front of d wavemaker like enjoying the breeze. it seems to be getting thinner but longer after 3mths in my tank

hi bros does anemones has self healing properties? i bought one from iwarna for $5 its abt two palm size. look nice yellow in colour. bought it solely for my pair nemo pair. i place it on my sand bed but it juz curls into a ball then it lodges itself my the side glass wall. irritating sia...need to reposition my wavemaker. i think my water condition turns dirty during cleaning then it juz shrinks n its mouth looks like being torned. but after a day it looks like normal but it mouth doesnt close yet. anyone git similar experience?

for my 3 ft tank i think those purple turban shape snails does a lot of work on my glass walls. the long mouth snails seems pretty slow n useless. i got an abalone its also working hard but really slow n it will alone appear once in awhile. the best one dat sifts my sand bed is the greyish black striped starfish. better than the red or snake looking type

im not too sure wat im doing is the right thing but i haf been using cheap toothbrushes to scrap those harden green algae on my glass wall and esp on those convered by the sand bed. but maybe a small spot a day bcos really makes the tank dirty

wow bro may i know ur lighting and wavemaker setup? i love lps but my gonio has bleached! i only used 4x39W T5 and 1x14W Royal Blue led for my 3ft tank. i have abt total 13500L/Hr water turnover inclusive of wavemaker...too much or little?

thanks for all d info...i got an anemone from iwarna which is huge. its like the size of two palms when it opens. look like my orange clownfish seems straight away to host it but they became aggresive esp to a single black clownfish untill it start to hide behind some rocks. and d anemone like to stick to the side of my tank even after i place it on the sandbed twice. any idea how to make it stay on d sandbed and i like to frag it to make it smaller. juz way too huge for my 3ft tank

hi guys, im using a 3 tier canister filter dat has a biohome nitrate remover, eheim phosphate remover and carbon and those three are in different tiers. its running at 1000litres per hour. i put it after the skimmer and place the output back to the skimmer intake. wud it be better to run separate phosban and carbon fr instead or is it fine using d canister? im 2mths into this hobby thanks guys

my tank is abt 1 mth old. my live rock has turned from sporiadic light purple spots to now fully covered with light purple with certain areas very dark purple in colour. some spots are very white in color and it looks rather thick with some pointed edges. any ideas wats dat???? been dosing with alk , mg and ca+ almost daily abt 1/3 teaspoon.
