Carbon dose = drive up bacteria population When skimmer kaput and cannot remove bacteria, and when the bacteria die will release toxins and nutrient to water . Vinegar wont reduce ph much and is nothing to be worry of. And yes biopellet is same as carbon dose , but consequnces is worser than vinegar dose since its constant carbon dosing. Tank oxygen level will be veryvery low also since its being taken up by the bateria. Oxygen low = carbon dioxide high = ph low + its during light off , ph drop even further.
