Shaked my zeolite reactor only 3-4 times, lots and lots of mulm are being released , and dt have lots of the mulm and it looks like broadcasting brine shrimp . This mulm produced by bacteria will feed all the corals in the tank and then be skimmed out. Will also have to add a 90deg elbow at the output of my zeolite reactor. 2 purposes. 1: durect the output flow to my titanium coil as cold water are stagnant. 2: direct all the mulm to the return pump suction. Also Tidied all the cables. Total plugs are : 3x wavemaker 2x ati 1x temp controller 2x 48x xte rb cree diy. (Soon will setup) Right now , i have 5elcb for my tank. The distribution is: 1. Return pump + skimmer 2. all Lightings. 3. All Wavemakers 4. Eheim compact 1000 (power my zeolite reactor and phosban reactor ) + jbj ato. 5. Spare. Dont know what to put hahaha Sent from my GT-N7105 using Tapatalk

Sorry bro , didnt take pic of the process. The compressor will come with nut. 1. Put in the nut in the copper tube , then Flare the tube to bell shape. 2. Use spanner and tighten to the joint at the compressor / coil. things u need to connect the tubing to compressor and to coil is - flaring tools ( can see youtube to see ) - copper tubing cutter - spanner Sent from my GT-N7105 using Tapatalk

Bought a new compresssor and i thought it came pre charged fully . Used the meter pressure guage, it only shows about 50psi. Topped up the gas untill it was around 66~68psi and current 4.3A equalised. I used the flairing method instead of brazing. Did a leak test , and theres no leak (: Took 17minutes to cool down 1 degree. Much more silent than my previous hailea chiller. Tomorrow will start bringing my fishes back and tuesday will start stocking sps! Sent from my GT-N7105 using Tapatalk

Unable to read hydrometer
youdontnowm replied to IshDeOne's topic in New to the Marine Aquaria Hobby
My deep 6 hydroneter measure 0.0015 higher than my refractoneter. If it shows 1.027 , it is actually 1.0255. Very constant reading if u use it properly. Gently allows the water to ebter the hydroneter , and makesure no air bubbles is trapped at the swing arm. Sent from my GT-N7105 using Tapatalk -

Bacteria bloom no sweat! -aim wavemaker up , to have more surface agitation like james said to have more gas exchange. -reduce biopellet reactor flowrate -stop carbon dosing/bacteria -look out your nutrient level, may drop fast. Will take few days before tank is clear again. They will survive for sure (: Sent from my GT-N7105 using Tapatalk

Live " Live Rock" vs Cured "Live Rock"
youdontnowm replied to dinGdinG's topic in New to the Marine Aquaria Hobby
Imo Everyone who start up a new tank , they should always bleach The rocks. kill it dead. if want to go extra step like me to remove phos / copper , vinegar soak in straight without mixing rodi. Or u can do it like tofu , soak in rodi and run phos remover like rowaphos/ultraphos. Paid high price for live rock ?? So ? U want to have any chance to get pestered by pest throughout your reefing journey ?? it will Always 100% turn live again. And its Always worth it to make it dead. hahah (: Sent from my GT-N7105 using Tapatalk -

Tofu is right. Prevention is better than cure. I have seen many people take forever to battle aiptasia. Few of them get piss till wanted to tear down and restart the whole tank . Bad crabs , bristle worm , aiptasia , majano etcetc . With probiotic products , u can cycle a tank as fast as 10days with 100% dead rock and start stocking sps. (If u are expereinced). Visit tofubox tank thread, he too , started with 100% dead rock (: Sent from my GT-N7105 using Tapatalk -
Live " Live Rock" vs Cured "Live Rock"
youdontnowm replied to dinGdinG's topic in New to the Marine Aquaria Hobby
If u use twpwater , those minerals / heavy metals etc will be absorb by your rocks as well aa phosphates/nitrates. To me , i will always always only use 0 tds water to soak rock , waterchange with salt mix as well as for ato. Sent from my GT-N7105 using Tapatalk -

Sorry i mean 1:10 , 1 part bleach , 10 part rodi. Use clorox ( can be found in giant , ntuc ) Agree , 100% pest freee now. No more headache/stress later on. Trust me , if u kena aip, it will be pita to completely removes it. I will always choose to do it once do it right. Sent from my GT-N7105 using Tapatalk -

Imo , the best way is 1. 1part Bleach : 2part rodi soak all the rocks for 24hours. This will remove ALL lifes in the rock. No more pest like aip etcetc. 2. Soak those rocks in rodi with seachem prime for few hours. 3. Sun dry those rocks for few days until they are completely dry. Best is to sun them for a week. (Avoid rain water getting into rock). 4. straight Distilled white vinegar soak them For few hours. This will removes phosphate and copper from the rock. 5. Rodi soak all the rocks , then scrub with brush and rodi soak again. 6. play around with Scape on floor , epoxy or glue whatever you want, then put it into the tank. The whole process took me 2 to 3weeks. Sent from my GT-N7105 using Tapatalk
