This issue is such a pain in the butt

When i turned up the flow of my pump, the water crashing down into the overflow damn loud.. makes me wan to get rid of the dorso. But when i take the dorso out, there is more air and water going into the overflow pipe...

Yeah was actually thinking of a valve at the outlet.. need to start source for 1.. but tge problem is my outlet valve is already glued and very thick.. very hard to cut

By the way,i did push in a small hose tube inside. The overflow level drop abit. But seems ok.. have not open my return pump ball valve to full yet

Jus got a durso pipe installed because of the air sucking in my overflow and the noise was driving me crazy. But after getting it done, the water splashing into the sump, the over going into the overflow and the durso pipe are making more noise. I reduced the flow for my return pump and the sound is lesser. But i get some kinda whistling sound coming from the top hole of the durso.. I need help.. its driving me crazy.

Did Google says for Skimmer is 450-700l pump. Like I said my skimmate is light colour. Need stronger flow? Can't get a correct answer for fmr

Correction:: Using 800l/h for the protein skimmer..

Currently using a hydor performa 700 skimmer and H2Ocean FMR75 on a 4x2x2. 1) Flow rate for pump is 600L/H as advised by the reefer who sold it to me. But the skimmate seem to be light in colour ( no matter how i adjust the air intake) rather than coffee colour. Is this the correct flow rate for skimmer? 2) Flow rate for FMR using 300L/H now.. Is this the correct flow? Im soo lost and not sure if this is the correct flow. Plz advise..

Have another quesion also... How long will the tank be chalky? My new tank cleared up alot compared to yday but still alil chalky. Should i leave it alone or do something about it?

Ammonia sticker?? U mean the type that sticks to the tank right?? Actually i wanted to leave the tank alone and let it cycle for 2 mths.. But later decided to check as i have never done it before..

Hi every1, I jus setup another tank at home. a 2ft tank. I used cured rocks and added bacteria and market prawn yesterday night. I find the readings abit weird. Ammonia: 0.25ppm Nitrite: 0ppm Nitrate: 0ppm By the way, this is the first time i mix my own salt. Previous got from Lfs. I jus tested all to see the reading. Do advise if i tested to early or wat is the issue...
