Hi, anyone has experience with this nudibranch? Will it eat corals, clams, sponges? Is it reef safe? What is its diet? Thank you.

Will they harass each other if only 2 is in the same tank?

I have seen pistol shrimps at Ah Beng on and off for the past few weeks. I even got one small one with paired goby. When i released into my tank, both got separated and since day 1 the shrimp disappeared .... left with the lonely goby.

My Hector goby about 2 inches in length. I put it in my 4 ft tank and can see it picking off algae everyday. Again, the rate of picking algae may not be fast enough for such a small fish.

I have algae on sand bed here and there and so troublesome i had to cover them with sand. Hope to suffocate them this way easier.

I am using seachem iodide but no improvement. The brain used to be very alive...expanding and contracting and put out feeder tentacles at night. Now, it is not expanding or contracting and no feeder tentacles. Almost like artificial coral....everyday same same.

Hi, maybe you want to try to take the readings for tapwater or distilled drinking water for comparison. Be careful not to cap the wrong cap to the wrong bottle when using test kits with 2 reagents. I always make sure I cap the bottle before opening the next bottle of reagents.

Got it from Ah Beng at Pasir Ris Farm. My hector's goby is eating algae off the rocks. But because the fish is pretty small, I guess it may not be of much help. And my hector will fight with my rainford which is very similar in appearance. Therefore, I think the hector will fight their own kind so keeping more than one to eat up some algae may not be feasible.

My brain coral bleached in one week after I got it. I placed it on the sand bed without any shade when it first arrived as I thought my lights are not that intense. Could the bleaching be due to too much lighting without proper acclimatization to light? Is this type of brain coral hard to retain their colors? Is it common for these brain corals to bleach easily? Ah Beng at Pasir Ris has yellow and pink ones for the past few weeks when i was there. They have the richest colors of all corals in the shop.

Care level is difficult.

My leather shrink and slump and sheds its skin for a few days. Then when the skins are cleared off, it began to expand and bloom. I am new in this hobby. Don't know how frequent is the shedding of skin.

I scraped mine off the glass but i noticed the algae floats around and gets caught on rocks etc. Probably will grow and spread from there. Hiaz.

Agree. But most of the time people readily take bagged ones for popular fishes before they are transferred to tanks. And only the left overs are transferred to the tanks. So its a gamble.

Thanks. I was at AM last Sunday but not much fishes. Iwarna also not much fishes. Instead I got one royal gramma from Ah Beng at Pasir Ris and it was feeding in my tank looking fine. But it died yesterday while my other fishes are doing fine. My guess is that it was killed by one of my fish although all my fishes should not be very aggressive ones (ie. medium percula clown, yellow wrasse, firegoby, other gobies, anthia, banggai cardinals). Maybe yellow wrasse whacked the royal gramma because the similar shape and size and the yellow color.

Use a bottle with market prawn inside to trap the crab. I trapped mine and he is a fat hairy one.

I have many of these in my rocks. Don't think they give me any problem.
