Hi, anyone knows the reason why my palys extends its stem as if to reach out to the lights. Sometimes the stem can stretch thin and tall. If they can remain low and compact, it will be nicer. Thank you.

If zoa pox, I used Furan 2 and it is effective. But I have to follow the medication routine from zoaid.com for a couple of days. Mine was infected badly by zoa pox as I did not know about zoa pox until I smell trouble and did some research. My zoas recover very well from zoa pox after the treatment.

The zoas colonies I got from farms do have pests such as zoas eating nudibranchs and spread themselves in my tank. Some have zoa pox which I did not know about until later research. These days, I dip all zoas and corals in Coral RX before putting them into the main tank. I find hitchhikers at the bottom of the dip containers but most are alive. That means that some pests may still survive the dip and cling on to corals and into the main tank after the dip. Anyhow thats my experience with coral dips.

I have a few frags which was doing great and for no apparent reason, stopped opening. After a while, they will shrink and turn dark and end of the game. This happens while other frags are doing fine.

rainmalawi replied to clownfish_forever's topic in Product Reviews
Ah Beng at Pasir Ris has a range of salifert test kits. You can call 65820235 to enquire if they have stock for the ones you need before going down. -
I don't see them schooling in tanks in fish shops that have many in one tank.

Hi, my home is prone to power trips during rainy days and lightning strikes. And during daytime, no one will be at home to switch on the power. Is there a device which can be plugged onto a home power socket and during power failure, it will send out sms alert to me? So I can rush back or call for assistance to switch on the power supply to save my livestocks. Appreciate if you can give details to the device and where to get it and approx price. I am considering UPS but the price and duration of power support may not be desirable. Thanks for reading.

Hi, I have been searching for detailed wiring guides for external temperature controller for non electrical trained person like me but I am unable to find answers. I hope someone can offer me layman guidance to this. I am buying Hailea HS 66 (1/4 HP) chiller and wanted to hook up to an external temperature controller. I think I should get the following items: 1. External temperature controller (ie. Fox brand etc) with temperature sensor. 2. 3 pin plug socket (for chiller power plug) 3. 3 pin plug (for controller power supply from mains) 4. Housing box to house the controller, 3 pin plug socket and wirings. 5. Cables for the wiring works (ie. 3 colored wires in one cable type) I think the controller unit should have many "connectors" for us to wire up the (plugs, sockets, sensor etc) Can someone guide me how to wire the followings: 1. How to wire up from mains (3 pin plug) to the controller? Which wire to which "connector" on the controller? 2. How to wire up from controller to "3 pin plug socket" (for the chiller plug)? Which wire to which "connector" on the controller and "3 pin plug socket" ? 3. Which wire of the temperature sensor to wire to which connector on the controller? Additionally, when selecting the external temperature controller, is there any important specification to look out for in order to be compatible with the chiller I am using? Thank you very much.

Do you need to inject sunkist lemon juice into the polyp with a needle or just shoot the juice at it? Thanks. -
I just got 2 purple firegoby from Ah Beng at Pasir Ris today. As of now, no harassing each other.
