Hi guys, Just wanted to share my experience, recently I bought a digital-timer from Iwarna. After connecting all equipments to the timer, I experienced some electrical leakage from the lighting retrofit where it was place. After islolating the equipments 1 by 1, I realized the problem lies with the timer. I suspected it could be due to the fact that I have connected the German Schuko plug direct to our 3 pin socket with the normal 2 pin plastic adaptor resulting in no grounding. Not intending to cut the timer's wire in order to change plug, i went around looking for Schuko adaptor with grounding to no avail. Until I went to this hardware shop near Novena. Although the uncle do not have the adaptor I needed, he asked the reason for searching for the adaptor. He suggested me to turn the plug the other way around when inserting into my socket after I completed telling him my story. Once I reached home, I tried and it work!!! How come??? Just now did some search and realized that its a basic electrical problem called "Reverse Polarity". Although reverse polarity will not present a safety hazard. There are, however, some sensitive electronics and surge protectors that could potentially be affected. HTH

Gouldian replied to vt_snowman87's topic in Disease treatment/parasite/pest control
Hi bro, If you don't mind something that will be slightly larger that your sixline, You can try the Radiant Wrasse. http://www.peteducation.com/article.cfm?cl...&articleid=1920 http://www.marinedepotlive.com/radiant-wra...h--wrasses.html HTH -
Hi Bro, How about you? You also never post your tank for very long liao.

Hi Bubber, Its a pity that little is known about the breeding of marine organism and the high dependancy on wild caught fishes. I hope that captive bred fishes will receives more supports from hobbyist in Singapore soon. Especially for Banggai Cardinal which is highly endangered and yet relatively easy to breed. Will post more when time permits.

Hi Sis, Thank you for your kind comments - I believe many bros are waiting to see your tank as well. Do post when you think your need to remain anonymous is no longer required.

Last shot for the day. Green Star Polyp, Pachyclavularia sp. This colony is very intense green and is growing like no tomorrow. Will be fragging it soon to be shared with some lucky reefers.

Hi bro, Angels are pelagic spawners with long larva stage thus difficult to survive in the typical set-up unlike banggai and clownfish. Breeders of angels usually have tall tanks and have special larva harvesting and rearing facilities which may be too expensive or tedious for us hobbyist. HTH

Hi bro, Most wrasse are Protogynous hermaphrodites which means that the more aggressive, stronger and larger ones will gets to morph into males while the rest remains as females. For radiant wrasse, the alpha male will have a green making of its 'face' and a silver streak on its 'spine'. The difference between the females are juvenile is the black dots of its dorsal fins. HTH

Yellow Tang, Zebrasoma flavescens. This guy was a Cleaner Shrimp eater when he was in my friend's tank but well behave after coming into my tank. I have 2 x cleaner shrimp and 2 x blood shrimp that was never bothered.
-
Lyretail Anthias, Pseudanthias squamipinnis. This is the male, I have another 2 females to keep him company. They are very well fed by my pair of African Flameback whom spawn in my tank frequently.
-
Banggai Cardinal, Pterapogon kauderni. This one is not wild caught but captive bred, may try to pair it up so as to lessen our dependance of WB banggai.
-
Longnose Hawkfish, Oxycirrhites typus. Only take mysis when I got it from another reefer but managed to convert into pellets and my frozen food within a week.

Thanks for your kind comments TJ.
