  1. Not sure about Hailea but certain chiller will position the temperature probe near the outlet; this will cuz chiller to kick in and out more often. You can try swopping the inlet into outlet and vis-versa and it should eliminate the frequently kick in and out. Personally, I would consider external temp controller as a last resorts. Let me know if you need assistance.
  2. You can re-calibrate your chiller temperature controller to match the pin point if you find the pin point is showing the right temperature.
  3. Wow, you also selling the Tahiti Butterfly? This is a good fish to have when you are trying to control aiptasia. Source: http://www.suite101.com/content/tahiti-butterflyfish-for-aiptasia-control-a196143
  4. Upz for a reefer that loves and take good care of his fishes!
  5. Berghia are obligate aiptasia eaters and will starve once their food source is depleted. Thus bros and sis, if you have some aiptasia problem, you may want to get from this bro. Most of the reefers in Europe and US will pass along their berghia among their members. Upz.
  6. Wow! You are now going to be enlisted already??!?!?!?! Seems like yesterday that we met with you still in Secondary School. Upz for you sale!
  7. Hi Amy, managed to get what you wanted in HKG? Sorry I lost the contact liao. Anyway, let me know when our kids can do battle! lol
  8. I believe AM sells pre-mix rather than NSW. For NSW, you can try Iwarna.
  9. Hi Ducados and Happyguy1682, Both of you have said you part and the lights has been sold thus I suggest you refrain from continuing with such meaningless act of putting each other down. Guys, we have more important in lave than arguing over a small issue right? Let's move on, shall we??? Happy Reefing. Ducados, if your lights are sold, I will closed the thread for now.
  10. Reef Depot is the authorized distributor - http://www.reefdepot.com.sg/ But I am sure you can get from their many dealers such as fresh n marine, iwarna etc.
  11. D&D H2O Reef Paste was initially produced by Aqualabs in UK but later they struck a deal with D&D to be marketed worldwide. Have not tried this product yet, but I think the idea works well especially if you wanted to feed your tank in small portion over a period of time. Or if you would want to medicate your fish by infusing the gel with medicines. 12. Congrats to the top 3! Let's not to forget Larry and his team for participating in the competition. Being hobbyists it is difficult to have sufficient resources, time, manpower and energy to compete in a competition filled with professionals. See you guys soon.
  13. Guys, please remember PM me with regards to the Microbe-Lift Talks

  14. I have yet to cancel, cuz the sales person seems quite a nice guy to come by yesterday evening to ask for another chance. He volunteered to personally collect empty bottles and cash. As for the new bottles, still have to depend on Polar's delivery guy. Personally, i think this incident not only is bad press for Arees but Polar as well.
  15. Just wanted to update on Arees distilled water after 3 months of usage. I am very disappointed with the delivery. As mentioned earlier, Arees is getting water from Polar and have also contracted the delivery to Polar. Polar's drivers' priority is on their own water rather than Arees thus, in my 3 months of using them, they were never punctual. Due to work and busy weekends schedule, my standing instruction is for delivery to come alternate Saturday before 10am. This was never a problem with Alpheaus as they simply schedule mine as the 1st location. However, Polar driver refuses to acknowledge this agreement and insist on sending the water at their own convenient time. They will just leave everything outside your door if you are not home! For many Saturdays, we have to wait and call Arees office without any reasonable answers from their Customer Service and Sales. In the end, I decided to cancel my contract with them and last night the sales person visited me at 9pm to request for another chance, I agreed. For me, I think that if you are not those that is demanding in term of exact delivery timing or you constantly have someone at home during week days you will not encounter the problems I experienced. However, if you are like me, you may want to consider another company as I don't think their problems will be resolve in the near future.
  16. Actually on our last trip, we did witness one of the farm moving inland and reaping reward (heard they are the more successful farm). Anyway, I believe the business opportunities are out there now that some of the poor performing farms may have to buck up or loose their license. Good for companies providing aquaculture supplies and consultancy.
  17. It should be a terebellid aka spaghetti worms, they are usually found buried in sand bed or fastened on liverocks; extending its tentacles to feed on detritus an float particles. They are considered beneficial but some hobbyist will removed them due to aesthetic reasons. However, if there is sufficient food source and lack of predation, their population may increase to plague proportion. Some natural opportunistic predators are Pygmy Angels, Wrassees, Dottybacks, Gobies, Coral Banded Shrimp, Butterflyfishes etc (Do your research on the individual species before committing in getting one for your tank). Being opportunistic, they will be able to keep the population in check but will not fully eradicate them. Another way is to remove them manually or to super glue the opening. 18. Hi guys, AVA is trying to boost the yield of Singapore Fish Farms stating lack of skill and misuse of space for entertainment. They wanted the farmers to tap into their resources and funds to increase yield or loose their license. Looks like the Aquaculturing scene in Singapore will be seeing a boost soon! 19. Looking at your pic the second time, it may also be some form of coralines rather than cynobacteria.
  20. I believe they are green spot algae, only way to remove them is scrapping them. Cleaning the glass daily with a good magnet glass cleaner helps in preventing them getting a foothold on your glass and using Phosphate removers to absorbs their good source.
  21. hey Jon, where you chionging?
