  1. brine shrimp packaged as "Sea Monkey" so that they are more popular. Anyway, the Sea Monkey with umbrella started crawling all over the neck......
  2. Actually most marine fishes feeds continuously throughout the day, this is because in nature the competition is tough, all scraps of food is not wasted and converted to energy almost immediately. However, in capitivity it is not possible to provide the same condition as mother nature has provided. Although tangs also feeds throughout the day, most of them are able to adapt and thrive with 2 feeds per day. They are still bros that feeds 3-4 times per day using auto-feeder. For me, I try to simulate nature by providing small but frequent feeds daily especially during dusk and dawn. As long as they are not losing mass and especially the area behind the eyes are not sunken, you can be sure that it is doing fine. Henry's food is a great to natural source to supplement synthethic pellets for the better health of your fishes.
  3. Hi Fuel, Thanks for sharing, wish you all the best in the land of OZ.
  4. Hi ah_d3x, Yes, the peppermint is one of the few LS proven to rid Aiptasia Anemone. Super efficient! Plus the fact that it is truly reef-safe thus whenever it's availbale in Singapore you will find they will be selling like hot cakes.
  5. Hi guys, Just wanted to share, that I have confirmed 2 sightings! Which means all my 2 Griess are still alive and kicking. I was afriad that one may not make since I only sighted one for the past 2 days. Last night, at about midnight, I managed to spot the 2nd Griess hiding at the spot least expected. Anyway, I now can confirmed that both Griess are staying away from each other after the initial party of 2.
  6. From Traditional Chinese characters on the menu, my guess is Taiwan or Hong Kong.
  7. Wah bro, I must be very lucky to have it man. If you were able to find it, I a, sure you will definitely buy it one. I really should count my blessing often.
  8. Hi Des, Nice rockworks, I believe its your camera that day that gives me a impression that your rockworks is too tight. From this pic, I think it should be fine. Hope to see more pics new happenings. Btw, have you managed to locate the other S. nematodes?
  9. Hi bro, I have one too, the last one from CF. Actually my interest of it started when I saw it in Fuel tank one day but too bad he already sold to another bro. Although Fuel have told me that I-Aquarium bring it in periodically, I never have the luck. Finally, saw it during my trip to CF. Nearly have to buy together with a LR as it kept hiding into the rock when approached. Heard from auntie that a few people have given up buying after being told they must get together with the LR. I told auntie, I dun mind paying for then LR which is almost the price of the P. nocturna. But luck was on my side - the goby jump out of the LR into the bag during packaging. For me, I can only see it every morning around 7+ - 8am. Its been with me for 2 weeks liao. Actually Peter Schmeidel have posted a male and a female in the griessingeri thread, you might want to PM him.
  10. So Dovol, What is your suggested UPS set-up suitable for our hobby and how much will it cost us? TIA.
  11. Long-range walkie talkie that can also function as a mobile phone to be exact.
  12. Thanks Tineng, I nearly fainted when I saw the link provided by JC85 saying that it is $1800! Wah, seems like a good buy for the survival of our precious!
  13. Actually the key is to go for unlimited for 1-2-1 for all sets. And unlimited for 1-2-1 and 1-2-all for the supevisor set. Thus, as long as you PTT, you will not be charged.
  14. Wah, whcih means we need a super size one if we need to power up for 2-3hrs. For me if the most important equipemnt to me is the return pump thus, I may get it in case scenario I experienced last week re-enact.
  15. Being a ex-Singtel coporate guy, I feel that it is one of the most underrated and underused product. Although, I am not from Grid, I feel that the PTT concept helps to save $$$ for organisations and company. Cuz, when you PTT, you need not pay for the conversation unlike normal mobile phones. Thus, you see most companies in the transport companies are using it to communicate their out field people. I believe the events companies, restaurants and even security companies should tap into this services as compared to using the traditional walkie talkie which have limited range and require line of sight. Previously they only allow organisation and company to register the Grid, not sure if its still the same.
  16. I think Loster is right. The idea is to get fresh water right to the bottom of the KR to be mixed with the kalk. CM have carefully designed the reactor in a way that even with the reactor is stirring, only the clear kalk solution will be pump into the tank. By hooking up the other way (Davwong) it defeat the purpose of the kalk reactor liao, we might as well pour the kalk paste directly into the tank. Btw, kalk paste are very caustic and should never at anytime be introduced into the tank. Be it by manual dripping or through Kalk Reactor. Say so much, I think I oso liao. Upz for you sale Loster.
  17. Just check with my in-house EEE grad, true sine wave set will give you constant currently supply without fluctuation whereas the non sine wave set will have fluctuation of current. Fluctuation of current can be detrimental to some sensitive equipment but not sure it will shorten the lives of air-pumps of skimmer for this matter. Any other gurus here can advise????
  18. Not sure can or not. Cuz it is using simulated sine wave. From what I know, it is better to get true sine wave UPS. Reason??? I dunno cuz me no electrical guy.
  19. Bro, got PDF error - cannot see.
  20. That's what it does best whether got body guards or not. They like to burrow a labrinyth below the substrates and that's why they are apprciated by reefers cuz they will keep the substatres loose and well oxgenated.
  21. Nice tank Nickel, do you have any pix of the sump???
  22. Sorry to hear about your plight. Upz for your sale - hope that your sale will be smooth and thus let you concentrate on readjusting your life. Would be good if you could provide a pix of your tank. Best wishes......
