  1. Hi Jpual, I understand your frustration of buying something at higher price and yet invite criticism. But the potential buyers here are not people you can off load your problems just like that. This will only becomes a vicious cycle to the extent that it spoils your reputation. But then again, some people dun really cares as they can just change a nick anytime. Hope you are not one of those people.
  2. So I guess this is what we called the "The Sun can be Blue but not Red" mentality.
  3. Actually during these 2 weeks, I did not see and change in the colour of the Sun both in Reborn or Yiling's place. But I do notice a change in stance. From: "but let's face it, sun corals only got orange and black" To: "ok...agree to retract if yiling's doing fine" To: "you wanna pay that much for sth that will fade and turn orange with time?" To: "as for my friend being frustrated, well, it wasn't my friend, the sun was in the main tank of reborn...if its still there might wanna check out the sun losing its red colour" To: "in any case, went checking around a few coral books, still can't find red sun, only orange and black..." To: "the suncoral in photo in http://www.bomani.com/sunpolyps.html looks pink can anyone verify if that's red sun? would like to know how natural red sun looks like because can't find photo on internet and the only specimen i saw in reborn's display was turning from red to orange" To: "the red sun that i saw and been talking about all this while is not pinkish red but ang pao red...any ideas on such colours in nature?" To: "he say no colour change... me and another reefer that day saw together say got...leave it to people who see it to judge as for red sun, its already off the dyed corals list gotta go HK someday" With the above I guess some people changes colours more than any Sun Corals known in the planet.
  4. Dear JPaul, I beg to differ, Dispar is just stating fact. Firstly, in your very first post you said you the whole set for $120 showing photos of them in actinics. When reefers began asking for photos in white lights, you apologize for not having white lights and there was further request for you to flash the corals to show the actual colours. After showing the 'Flashed" photos you then swiftly reduced the price per set from $120 to $30! With all the above points what do you expect the potential buyers to say? This is a reef club and I believe we should have the decent responsibilty to our seller. If it is bleached say it bleached loh, why try to hide it with actinics? If my memory serves me right there is another ex-reefer that used to do that here luckily he disappeared for very long liao. But maybe he is back with a different id??? Anyway, I am super liao. Just wanted to remind you point 2 of Rules and Regulations for Pasar Malam
  5. No lah, those "friends" will help remind me that I shouldn't hog and thus give it to them.
  6. If that day comes, I am sure I suddenly will have lots of friends.
  7. I always believes that good things need not keep to oneself, sometimes its better to let the best candidates that can provide better condition keep it rather than hogging everything to oneself.
  8. Yah loh, I also noticed that it does not swim like the Thalassoma but just dun have the courage like you.
  9. Another update worth waiting for.
  10. Really nice wrasse indeed! I really admire your courage to get it as that time both of us were still unable to ID it. At 1st, both of us suspected it was a Helicheores but I back down after the lfs owner told us that it could be a Thalasomma. But you stuck to your convictions and bought it. :bow Really learned alot form you bro.
  11. Thanks for your vote of confidence my dear friend. I guess Aquara must see the tank in person in order to gauge. So DA, when should we start our new project??
  12. Actually, there is so many things we still dun know about mother nature. So lets not be too judgmental when we dun have enough knowledge. Sometimes, its pays more if we could just sit back and observe rather than splurting misinformation at the drop of a pin.
  13. Messy - Yes, cuz my tank was purchase 2nd hand and I have to do massive modifications in order to provide the flow that I want. Have even gotten Dr. Evil to help. Frankly, it is the best modification I have seen so far. You should see my tank in person to acertain that. Overgrown with algae - No, The algae growing on my pipes are corallines, there are only some diatoms on my magnet cleaner. The green algae you see in the shot of the C. venustus is because the venustus is hidding near the back area of my tank where it cannot be access by the algae grazers. Maybe, I can invite you over if you are interested? PM me.
  14. Yah loh, in fact, I have been busy washing the new cothings in preparation for the arrival on my prince. Ask yiling and he can tell you, when he comes over yersterday, my house is full of baby's laundry. Missed talking wuth you and the rest!. Do drop me an sms if you are free. Cheers.
  15. Six line belong to the Pseudocheilinus species, they are the more aggreesive lot. Herewith is a write-up in Reeking Magazine giving a better idea of their habits. "However, it is also not uncommon for these diminutive fish to become rather boisterous to the extent of becoming hostile. Once established in the aquarium, mixing additional fish, or even shrimp, can be an exercise of futility. Smaller fish may be consumed, while fish of equal size or slightly larger are likely to be harassed. Sometimes the harassment will subside after a few days, other times it will continue until the death of the targeted animal. In either case, it is best to take steps to avoid this confrontation. Some tips to minimize these problems would include adding the Lined Wrasse last, separating individuals with egg crate material until aggression has subsided, and designing the aquarium's aquascape to contain a lot of hiding places. In some cases the removal of one of the fish may be required to restore equilibrium. Maintaining individuals of two or more Pseudocheilinus species in the same aquarium is not recommended." Extracted from: http://www.reefkeeping.com/issues/2003-08/hcs3 That's why, I personally like the Cirrhilabrus.

DA - will buy you lunch one day. I owe you tons! Iori Del - Sorry my AT did not make it. It was feeding well after it win its battle with ICH and even takes pellets but suddenly it just refuses to eat. I guess I will have to re-look into the possibilty of an AT in a 3 footer.
