  1. I was approached to donate through my Credit Card Acounts during one of those "Health Check" back in 2000. They told me that I have high blood cholestrol and high blood pressure and that I may risk kidney failure. They told me that since I am healthy now, I should care for the sick and if I were to be sick the rest will do the same to me. Thinking that I may one day be a kidney patient, I decides to danate using my Credit Card Account. I decides not to donate after I went for a complete health check in a private hospital and found that I was neither suffering from High Blood or High Cholestrol. When I called them up, the NKF staff told me that their checks are just indicative and may not reflect my actual conditions as such we should not hold it against them. I told them that I do not wish to donate anymore and ask them for the forms to cvancel my donation. I waited, called them, waited. It ding-dong for 1 year plus until my card expired. Immediately I received a thick envelope telling me that they could not deduct money from my card and always all those sad stories featured in their shows. I decides to ignore it as I am disspointed at how they handled me when I wanted to cancelled my donation - they made me feel like I am create a big crime and did not fax or even send me the cancellation form when I requested. By when my card expires, they send me beautify thick envelopes of pleas, this I am sure most donors will know are printed in full colours with the highest quality papers and finished with embossing. And the best is that its been 3 years and every couple of months, I still receieve their plea. What I do understand is that they are willing to spend $8-9 worth of printed materials to pursure a monthly $5 contribution! To me it just does not add up. I think NKF will go down Singapore history as the most Successful and Lucrative business model! Perhaps, we should throw away our BBAs or MBAs and start learn from Durai. Perhaps Bill Gates or Lee Kar Shing is not so smart after all.
  2. Thank you bros for all the kind encouragements! Last night I was up till 1am sitting in front of my computer waiting for some friends overseas to come online so that I may assist them with their queries..... I guess a leopard never changes its spots. I will still help those that wanted my help. Anyway, I felt much better today, Thank you all once again. Thanks!

  4. You good boy meh???? So many Tangs in your tank????? You lucky no Tang Police in Singapore! Hehehe, but for you is different, you know what you buy and know your system well. For them, cannot even ID the fish wants to buy liao. How can? In the end fish dies, come back and ask, "Why like that huh? I thought you say you have been reefing many years liao how come like that?" Jiat Lat man!
  5. That's why now dunwan to Kaypo liao. sob sob sob
  6. Dear bros and sis, I think I am really a super "KAYPOH"! Recently, I tried to help a nooby with the set-up of his tank. As usual in the process I always advises him to hold on stocking and to be careful of what add into the tank. However, I have always been disappointed when I received calls telling me, "Sorry ah bro, I have go against your advise and I have added 3 fishes at one go into the tank. How ah?" or "Bro, I have just bought a very beautiful fish, I dunno what it is but I like it leh. Its purple and yellow in colour wan. Do yu think its safe?" or "Bro, I saw this fish very nice, it comes with a sharp nose and it is orange and white in colour. The uncle says it cost $3 only. I want to get leh" All this I can take it, what really irritates me is that I was trying to help and decides to pass him a Seio620 so as to increase the flow in his tank. In order to be fair, I decides to test out the pump in front of him and too bad the impellor ceased. I realized that its because I have left the seio outside for too long and the detritus have cake on the impellor so boh bian clean it up and try a few times. In the end it work and I told him that he can take it first and pay me later. I know recently someone sold his Seio for $35 in Pasar Malam so I told him i will sell him at $20. But guess what? He suspect me trying to cheat him of his $20 with a faulty pump!!!!!!! Sigh...... I really feels that "Hao Ren Nan Cuo"....... Next time, I will just keep things to myself liao.
  7. Bro, I think he is using the same brand for both just the ballast is different. The tubes are Coralife and the encaps are Arcadia.
  8. Thanks for sharing bro. But was wondering what is brand of the 2 ballast? I know in US , the Icecaps ballast is known to be the preferred brand when comes to aquarium lighting. Care to share more bro?
  9. Wah liao my car is a 91 Corolla, so you mean "mine" also very lao liao meh???? sob sob sob
  10. Yup, should be Arapaima gigas. One of my distance relative used to bring them in and loan it to the zoo's monkey exhibit. Have seen the juveniles ones at JB's Gaint Hypermart huge glass tank display too. I have seen the fully grown one in my distance relative farm off tampines road last time. Scary! But I will take the "20ft" claim with a pinch of salt. Arapaima gigas
  11. Seeing bubbles confirmed that your sponge has been out of the water. Thus be prepared for the worst. Actually sponges are one of the best filter feeders in the sea, they are able to process gallons on water per minutes much exceeding their size. For me, I dun target feed, I just dose into the water columns and leave to the current to bing the food to them just like in the seas. Thus, I am a believer of Phytoplanktons, Zooplanktons and Cyclopeeze.
  12. From my limited experience, I believe your sponge might not make it liao. Sponges should never be lifted out of the water during harvesting, transporting or selecting. If it happens, air will be trapped inside its many channels and thus killing it. Exposure to air usually can never be varified during purchase cuz sponges will only start showing signs of white/grey spots/fuzz a few days later. What you could do now is to cut out those portions (white/grey decaying) with a sharp knife underwater in another islolated container. After that pray for the best!

  14. Bro, can I borrow you spear gun? I have a fish in my tank that I badly need to get rid of. Below is a pix of it......
  15. MI are easy to keep provided they are able to accept prepared food. The problem with MI is their diet, most are finickly feeders that feeds on specific species of sponges in the wild. Thus when they are brought to captive systems, they will starve. So the first and foremost aspect of MI is getting a already feeding individual from the LFS in the very first place. Marine Life, our sponsor have been known to sell MI that willingly accept frozen prepared food. According to Henry, he will not sell MI that does not feed but will take it upon himself to slowly nurse newly acquired MI into feeding before selling. That's why whenever you see MI in his shop, they are often booked already. Good luck!
  16. Actually once you turn left at the junction to Desaru there are ample signs to lead you to Waterfall. Just drive straight until you see sign asking you to turn. Very easy one. I have been there a few time, all without map, just drive and look for sign loh as long as general direction is right ok liao.
