I agree with you bro. I have previously assisted setting up and recommending the Biostar to a few of my friends with great results. The Biostar unique design (Biowheel) made it possible for nano that don't have a IOS or a Sump to cultivate its own nitrifying bacteria. The Biostar is also one of the smallest Needlewheel skimmer that I have come across thus far. If I ever wanted to set-up a nano, the Biostar will be my top choice.

Wow! Nice to get a glimpse of your great works! Your passion for the horses never fade, not like me. Cannot stand seeing the fries dying one after another. -
Hi Simon, I have that problem before until I thaw the mysis and drain away the "juices". HTH

Damienkee is right, never dose anything in your tank if you dun have the test kts to measure it. Its quite worrying to see that you are dosing so many stuffs twice weekly without testing your water. Anyway, below are the general water params for a reef tank, I believe you need to be aware of: Specific Gravity: 1.023 to 1.025 Temperature: 25 - 29 degrees celcius pH: 8.1 to 8.4 Alkalinity: 8 to 12 dKH Ammonia: Zero Nitrite: Zero Nitrate: < 1.0ppm Phosphate: < 0.2ppm Calcium: 350 to 450ppm Magnesium: 1250 to 1350ppm Strontium: 8 to 14ppm Iodine: 0.06 to 0.10ppm HTH

Star polyps belongs to the Pachyclavularia sp. as such are different from the Zoanthids.

Hi Charlie, Actually in oredr to get nice colouration out of zoanthids, yoiu need to first select and purchase the "nice coloured" ones. When I was a newbie, I used to buy brown and green zoanthids hoping that they will colour up. But it never happens. Finally decides to pay a little more for the nicer colored ones. It helps if you have friends that have keen eyes in spotting the nice coloured zoanthids. For me, I am blessed to have a few good buddies. As for the husbandry, I dun really loose a sweat of them as I have place some in both high & low flow. Water params is standard but I do dose lugol solution 2 drop every 3 days in my 400l tank. HTH

No worries, sometimes when talking among reefers, we will also get confused between 2 & 3. hehehehe

Zoos can mean 1) a place to view and learn about animals 2) Zooxanthallae, algae that have symbiotic relationship with Corals and clams 3) Zoanthids, soft corals that some called buttons I guess you meant no 3.

Yah loh, so hairy. When he is one month old, we shaved him bald and uses his hair to make chinese brush. With the amount gotten, we made 1 chung kai (Medium) and 1 xiao kai (Small) brush. Taimaobi Btw nice tummy, like Chris, my wife will kill me if I ever post her tummy in the internet. Sis, if you need support, feel free to drop by SRC. I am sure lots of reefers here will offer whatever help we can.

Hi Princess, To render our support to you, herewith is a pix of Artemas just out of the mother's womb! Tears were running down my cheek when this picture was taken (I guess the room is too dusty). When that happens to you, all the sufferings you have endured earlier with be redeemed!

Hi Princess, Its normal to be overwhelm with anxiety to the extend of crying. But according to some older friends of mine, its will not be very good for the baby. My wife was feeling lousy too at the beginning and sometimes feels "Peck Chek". How we got around it was: 1) For her to always tells herself that she has to always feel happy so that the baby next time will be adorable. 2) For the people around her to shower her with lots of attention and love. 3) Both hubby and wife must slow down and spend more time with each other. Like going for a movie, going for dinner, anything romantic. Talk to your BF, get him to participate more. Remember you guys were doing it together that's why you have this problem to begin with. HTH
