  1. Hi, Not sure whether its useful to you but you may want to gather you information from the below website: www.aquariumcontrollers.com HTH
  2. Hi Steven, What about your Soha?
  3. That's right! Kept 2 before... If in a typical reef tank, you will be lucky to see it once in a long while. Super secretive fish that prefers to stay hidden from all actions. Great to see some seniors posting after all these years.
  4. Another gay???..... Seems like gay is "In" nowadays.....
  5. Hi, Although they hate strong flow, they are after all still found around the reef area thus I personally will go for a minimum of 10x 50gal but stay below 30x 50gal. HTH
  6. Bro, I may be wrong but do you mean RA2000? From my limited knowledge RA200 is suited for tank up to a max of only 300l so it definitely is unable to chill a 800l, 4ft tank. http://www.aquatechnic.net/program.html Care to verify?

Hi Waj, We are using 240v too, you can try www.aquamarin.com.sg or www.reefdepot.com.sg. Both are our sponsors and I believe they export german pumps too. HTH
  8. Hi bro, A more affordable phopahate removal. http://www.wallace-tiernan.de/WT/UK/Produc...tion/index.html http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ferrous_sulfate HTH UPZ

Hi, Not many of us uses Resun King pump here. I guess most still prefer German made pump. Looking just from the infomation provided by Resun's website, they only mentioned its for submersible usage. Source: http://www.resun-china.com/products/englis...%20B-king-4.htm Also an Australian retailer sums it up well with this statements: "Most of the range can be connected up as an inline pump using the supplied fittings, but are designed to run as fully submersible units." 10. Hi Bro, I was there as well, its at Tsim Sha Tsui right... Was there on 28/11, my hotel (Park) is nearby. Saw people queued for almost 2hrs to get in.
  11. Hi bro, pH inside the CR reaction chamber should be around 6.7 depending on what medias is being used. pH in your tank should be around 8.2 depending on your lighting schedule. If your pH inside your chamber is 7.2 after 5 hours, I suggest you increase the co2 count slightly and monitor that the pH will maintain around 6.7. Once that happens, you are consider your CR is tuned. HTH
  12. IMHO transparent pipe will be covered with alage in not time. But I do agree that it look good when new. Have fun!
  13. Hi Shawn, Not your fault. my IT bloacked access.
  14. Hi bro, Technically speaking 20mm pipe may not handle 3000l/hr of flow. http://www.reefcentral.com/calc/drain.php?...93&drain=Submit Based on the below you, after conversion into metric measurement, a 20mm pipe will be able to drain about 1500l/hr. http://www.reefcentral.com/calc/drain.php?...00&drain=Submit One of my previous tank with similiar durso pipe, I used Eheim 1048 which have a flow of 600. I never tried to increase to 1500l/hr. But I have tried with a 2000l/hr pump and it definitely cannot handle. Btw, most reefer with prefer to have 10x the tank volume of flow. Thus for your case, you may need a minimum flow of 3000+l/hr. HTH
  15. Oic, time for magician to scape mine too.
  16. No worries, it was honest of you posting the picture of the fish openly to give buyer an early heads up. Just wanted to point out that HLLE is reversable, I have seen a few recovering without scars. Most just by removing the stress and feeding quality pellets soaked in Selcon. HTH
  17. I believe the disease is Marine Hole in the Head or Hand and Lateral Line Erosion (HLLE). Here's some read on the disease for those who are keen in the fish but wanted to know more on treating it. http://reefkeeping.com/issues/2005-06/sp/index.php http://www.marineaquariumadvice.com/hypoth...ne_erosion.html http://marineaquariumadvice.com/hypothesis..._erosion_2.html Up.
  18. The wonders of having new lights.
  19. I think those are Yellowtail Fusilier, Caesio cuning. Show them to our moms and they will say: "yum yum." http://www.amonline.net.au/FISHES/fishfacts/fish/ccuning.htm
  20. Not really bro. Just happens to get that at a good price when a bro who bought decides to quit even before set-up.
  21. If that happens, you will have "live actions" during the night. Not sure whether your parents will stop you from watching since you are below 21.
  22. Oic. Not sure about sulphur based Denitrator. But personal choice will be German made ones.
  23. Hi Blenny, Its been quite a while since I saw your posts, guess you were busy. I have tried tee off before but find that its very difficult to maintain a consistent flow due to the fact that water will flow which ever way that have lesser back pressure. Thus if pressure of the other route is much lower than the one going into the denitrator, the flow may stopped totally one day. Just my 2 cents.
  24. Hi bro, 15ft approximately equals to 5M of head excluding elbows and elevation, a suitable pump that can do that will be huge and consumes to much power. With such distance, you definitely need to insulate your PVC in order to keep the water chill. I personally will not do that due to the below reasons: 1) Suitable pump for this application will not be cheap (ATK, Iwaki, Sequence) 2) Power consumption may be too high 3) Cost of insulating and hiding PVC pipes I do know of a reefer doing that with an ATK pump for a distance shorter that yours. HTH
