Sometimes your pH is suppressed at night due to respirations which resulted in high co2 and thus low pH. The safest way to address this problem is to provide more aeration at night by using a air pump that is time to comes on in your sump when lights off. Dosing to much pH buffer may cause ionic imbalance. HTH

You can try tiger tail seahorse (S. comes) they are hardy, readily availlable. No seahorse is unable to take pellets. In capitivity, most reefers train their seahorse to feed on frozen mysis. HTH
