  1. Bro, Will have more as our mission of to educate and promote the hobby. Looking forward to seeing you on our next event.
  2. Hi Edwin, glad you like the talk. Hope you like the freebies generously contributed by the respective sponsors. Would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who have taken their time to support this event. Also, thanks to Larry (Harlequin Mania) who have travelled from the west to join us even though he is not familair with the location. Not to forget Belle, Jun Kai, Dom who have help me in every way they can run this event. Thank you all for the kind supports, we hope to bring you more meaningful events in the near future. Joseph
  3. Hi Bro, from my experience, they are nocturna and cryptic thus, try looking out for them after lights off.
  4. I still have my pair on Hawaiian Strawberry (Neoliomera pubescens) in my mixed reef, they have never bothered the corals. HTH
  5. Most butterflies are coralivores thus its only normal that they will be eating your corals. You can try trapping them by removing all corals from your tank and placing a damaged coral in fish trap. Once the fishes swim in, you have your catch. HTH
  6. Oic, hope you get better price for it. Anyway, blastos are quite hardy, maybe new polyps may grow soon.
  7. Hi Bro, item 1 hows the condition of the needlewheel impellor, used for how long liao?
  8. Saw 3 juvenile regal angel (still with ocelli) at Ah Beng yesterday, 2 reserved and the smallest one (3cm) was still available when I was there. Anyone here managed to get it???
  9. Hi bro, Check the belows: 1) Measure the temperature of the water at the chiller outlet - it should be your pre-set temperature 2) Check that your chiller is place in a location with good ventilation - efficiently will drop if chiller in place in the hot and poor ventilated location 3) Ensure that you do not have a pump or equipment that is producing excessive heat in your water. HTH
  10. Nice set-up bro, sorry that you loose your AT. My personal experience for sensitive tang such as AT & clown tang are: 1) Leaving my tank fish-less except for small gobies and cleaner shrimp 2) Deliberately encourage growth of macro-algae by not trimming them 3) Introduce AT after tank have been allowed to matured for more than 3 months after completing nitrogen cycle 4) Ensure high flow and high dissolve oxygen Just my 2 cents.
  11. Hi Enseng, 1) Grade 0 is good if you do not intend have high random flows within your tank. I prefer those that are coarser. 2) I prefer a few large rocks than many small pieces because they are easier to scape. 3) Tap water is find if you intend to keep softies and fish only tank where lights are low. However, if you intend to keep stony corals with high-lights, you may need to invest on DI or distilled water. My personal experience in keeping ick at bay is to only introduce ick-prone fishes when the tank have fully matures i.e. more than 3 months after the end of the cycling process. The more matured your tank, I feel, the lesser your chances of getting ick. Just my 2 cents.... HTH
  12. Hi Pravin, You may want to check on the below: 1) KH 2) Mg 3) Ca 4) Lights HTH
  13. Hi bro, Just my 2 cents, I realized that you tank was set-up recently and you have been stocking too fast. As such, the conditions inside your tank fluctuates alot and can be stressful. Fishes that are prone to white spots such as Tangs will be the first to catch them. If I were you, I will fish them out for treatment and get some seniors/shops to house them while I await for the maturing of the tank (estimate 3 months). HTH
  14. Hi Enseng, 1) Curing liverocks = letting whatever hitch hikers die-off and letting beneficial bacteria re-colonize the LRs. Thus if your LRs are cured at your own premise, technically, you need not cure it any further. However, that does not means that you need not go through the cycling process. 2) Adding prawn is to trigger the nitrogen cycle that is to kick start the cycling process. You can lick start the cycling process by just adding some pellet food. During this period, you still need all filtration mechanism although some will advise against lighting up your tank. HTH
