  5. Most people will be on the defense when they perceives that they are being "Judged" thus it may take sometime for them to see that you are genuinely trying to help. With your mum having their contact is a good start, it will be good to make friends with them and from there on, find an angle to assist them.   8. Agree! It is not impossible to keep saltwater fishes in IQ3 its a matter of choosing the correct livestock and knowing how to maintain the parameters.
  9. Blue Throat Trigger (Xanthichthys auromarginatus) is often touted as a reef-safe trigger. Beside blue throat, some have reported good behavior by the below: * Odonus Niger * Melichthys niger

  19. New tank syndrome is part and parcel of marine set-up. Diatoms will die-off once the available silicates are used up and the nutrients export and fixing reach a equilibrium. Besides, diatoms, dinoflagelates and bryopsis will come and go during new tank syndrome. Personally, I like to let the tank go through its natural course rather than using chemical to control them.
