Boiling LR? It will definitely create a stench in my kitchen. The last time I have a Mantis, I remove the whole rock and start drilling all the crevices until that bugger jump out of the rock into the sink!

neoken: No AT not eating prepared food. But observed it pecking on algae on LR & tank wall -
Also must consider the elegance. Too much disturbance from the clown might cause them to waste away. I have similar experience with my elegance until I sold the elegance - cost no one wants clowns. ;-p

Good idea! Will try it.

My update: AT still have ich, still refusing prepared food, all halymenia totally botak liao. Saw AT pecking on glass wall with green algae. Should I add a Cleaner Wrasse or Cleaner Shrimp to help get rid of Ich on AT body? Heard that CW only go for bid fishes and ignore smaller ones. Is it true? Regards, -

Beautiful! But something that can control Mantis worries me - what will happened to the Cleaner, Peppermint & Fire Shrimps in my tank. Maybe have to get the smaller ones that are smaller that the shrimps but defeat the purpose of control mantis. What irony. -

Dear reefers, Just wanted to update the situation of my AT. 31/09, 8pm - 10.30pm No more Velvet. But Ich came back. AT did not take any pellets, garlic soaked mysis / BS but saw it took a few cyclopeese (nothing to be proud). 01/10, 7am No more ich. Still not eating. But noticed Halimenia (Red Algae) botak liao with some leaf scattled all over the tank. Hopefully it is the works of the AT> Wish me luck! -
His nic is Bubblegum not Tuna lah....... Copepod

Power Blue Tang is also difficult cuz they are very prone to ich.
-
There are also tangs that are difficult to keep, heard of AT!!!! But generally tangs from the Zebrasoma family are ok. Personally, I will suggest beginners to start with percula or occelaris cuz they are be reminded of Nemo and thus easier for beginners to relate to. Damsels are good too provided you are prepare to accept their aggressive nature towards new introductions to your tank.

hehehe. I think he meant tank stand. I was at kalantan lane just now, spoke to the boss for a while. He is very friendly and he says he only do wrought iron stand. He claims that wooden cabinet after sometimes will warp and thus causes the tank to leak thus he never look into wooden cabinet. Anyway, I was also there to get them to do a sump for me. They are indeed value for $$$$ plus good service.

Mixing Gobies with Zebra Goby

I'll never try Rainfordi again. They are notorious for not accepting feeds. But I do know of some who sucessfully kept them. Guess its a matter of individual fish vs individual tank. Wish you luck! -
According to Robert Fenner, Bi-color is a difficult species to keep and is best left to tanks that are more matured. The yelow angel you are referring could be three spot or lemon peel. The difference is that the three spot have a black portion on the bottom fin whereas the lemon peel does not. Lemon peel also have bright blue borders around its eyes. Among these two the lemon peel is a better angel who is easily adaptable and will feed on any subsitute. Please note that not all Angels sold in LFS are suitable for Aquarium. Some Angels are well know to be very shy such as the Golden Angel and some with special feeding habit such as the Three Spots who feeds predomnantly sponges & trinicates. Thus, it is adviseable to research on the species before you buy. Although LFS play an important roles in the success of your fish but we must also look at ourselves. Alot of people blame their stock lost on LFS not "Quaratining" the fishes before they sell but when they themselves bring the fishes home, they just dump it into their main tank. ###### is know to process fishes in a manners frown upon by some reefers but they are others who claim they "Quarantine", but also does the same thing as ###### when you are not looking. So have your own judgement and buy from the LFS whom the workers you trust.

She is the Home Affairs Minister not the Finance Minister. So if the FM never pay the HAM will put him into ISA detention! -
Pistol shrimp will always be looking for Shrimp Gobies to pair with. This is because the need the gobies to be their eyes and something bring them food. Shrimp gobies in return will have a well maintain burrow to rest and hide in. Also with the snapping sound of the pistol predators will think twice before venture into their burrows. There are several shrimp gobies commonly found in LFS such as Yellow watchman, Yashia, High finned banded etc etc...

Yah loh, according to Robert Fenner, most AT can only have the maximum life span of 3 months if the conditions aren't right. This morning when I check the velvet gone liao but I am still worried of it not feeding. Too bad government never implement hobby leave when they were implementing the baby leave. Any success stories to share? Any advises? -
Hi guys, After my wife seen Roidan's AT she kept pestering me to get one too and so I got one last Saturday. Was reluctant cuz I am aware of the requiremant & temperament of AT. Before I bought it I notice it has a couple of ich on its body but something I believe I will be able to manage. Sunday, no more ich but have not seen it eating just pecking on LR. Tried feeding with Cyclopeese, Garlic soaked mysis / BS, Ocean Nutrition's pellets & Nori. Last night went back and AT develop velvet! No choice but to use Exodin (Aqua Medic). Any comments appreciated.
