I believe it is still within range for most LPS. Especially those that are from shallow waters that will experience salinity drop whenever there is rain.
Besides dosing Trace elements, you will need to maintain a balance KH and Ca - you can do so by dosing Kalkwasser or getting a Calcium Reactor.
I have been dosing Kalk with a simple DIY Kalk. recently upgraded to Kalk Reactor from Coral Labs (Sponsor) so that I don't have to physically mix and dose kalk every night.
Once the KH & Ca are maintain at Optimum, Coralines will naturally flourish.

Aiyah,
Everyone here bio your stuffs. I rather go buy 4D, better chance of strike than be on your waiting lists.
So far, I only have one chance - and even then, still have to do 'special favours'.
But lets face it, your stuffs are well worth it.
Get a tubby loh.
I oso dun have chiller. It is the long term cost of electricity that stop me from getting chiller.
Opt for fans long time ago and initially have to deal with daily top up in order to maintain salinity and water levels.
After I got tubby, no more worries. Used for one year liao no problems until my overflow got stuck and causes my sump to be overflow and thus short circuited the Tubby's float switch.
Got it replace by CM and at the same time pair up my Tubby with Cookie's Kalk Reactor! - No more mixing and dosing Kalk every night!!!!!
Hahaha
Hi Neil, welcome to SRC! You just got alot of reefers in Singapore drooling.
Maybe tomorrow will see alots of us moving out to look for bigger housing so as to accomodate big tank.
Thats right, their workshop ###### retail store for livestocks is at seletar before T95 and their showroom is at IMM.
They have sponsored their built-in tank for a couple of TCS production such as "Holland Village". Not known for their reno works or marine, just a company trying to catch people off guard with fancy but impractical designs. Sigh....
Sorry to hear about your experience Walanz. Please post your pixs here so that the experts here can help.
Yup normal. It is part a parcel of cycle. The best is to cycle in darkness, it will reduce unneccesary ala problem and at the same time not affecting cycling process.
We have the same problem. I used to have the Blue Streak Sleeper until I kept my very first Lobo. That joker bomb the brain till kingdom come.
But wanting to maintain clean and white sand, I tried signal gobies several times but given up cuz they dun last long in captivity.
Now, I have switched to Orange Spotted Sleeper, they are similiar to the Blue Streak but they dun swim to the top to drop thier bombs. But just do it just above the sand. Besides, they are very affordable.... $7 can get one liao.
I believe you deserves to have it!
Good luck with you recurring ich.
My AT is still full of them . Feeding and swimming around establishing territory. But white spots still persist athough it get smaller and smaller in size but greater in numbers. Whts happenining?
You should see him standing there holding it and not letting go for almost twenty minutes!
WeiLeong, I bet you can't remember all the bros that spoke with you that night while you were holding your blue stags cuz you mind is no longer on earth.
Cleaner Wrasse will not attack your shrimp nor fish. It will however, terrorize another cleaner wrasse thus it is adviseable to have only one Cleaner wrasse per tank.
My cleaner wrasse will even attack its image reflected off a mirror!
The only problem with Cleaner Wrasse is that they are notorious for dying for no apparent reasons. Plus the fact that reef that they are harvested usually will be badly affected by parasites and eventually dies. Thus there are several authors that 'ban' the buying of cleaner wrasse. So I suggest you only buy if you are very sure you are able to keep it alive - if not leave it in the wild.
I personally kept one. But after several days of observations to ensure that it is eating frozen food. Its been with me for 3mths liao.
Firefish and purple firefish have been known to terrorize new additions of the same species but it usually will stop after a day or two if you have ample space in the tank.
