  1. I think it is the A. trimaculatus (three-spot angel) Here is the Link Upz
  2. I think the person that can help us is Dispar Anthias, he is the one that got me interested in Leopard Wrasse when he wrote that Leopard Wrasse are known to eat Pyramid Snails. So far my observation is that the Leopard Wrasse only comes out a short period of time in the day and the rest of the time it simply disappears. My LW is out around 11am to 2pm only. When it is out it usually hoover 5cm from the substrates looking for stuffs to peck on but I have never bother to identify what it really eats.
  3. Like what Limbssg mentioned the Yellow, Purple and Sailfins (Zebrasoma) are the more hardy ones and if you have a yellow with ich, I think you better look into the proper husbandry of yout tank first before even deciding on another tang - especially those from the Acanthurus family. Do you still have the YT? What other fishes are you keeping the this tank and their quantity? How old is this tank?
  4. No mah, have read several articles in FAMA stated the closed environment of a aquarium contains more bacteria and toxic than in the oceans. There were cases where by certain Bacteria found in Marine Tanks once in our body, does not repond well to the nomal dosage of Antibiotics. Thus, most literatures reccomend to wash hands before and after putting hand into a marine tank.
  5. Here we have a guy ignoring all advises and continue to kill livestocks and you are saying I am super dooper unfriendly! Have you ever thought of the livestocks in his tank, those innocent creatures who have been brought from the sea in hope of a better environment? Shoelevy, your stand on this issue seems to sway more than the Tunze Wavebox. One moment you are telling him that it is wrong and that he should heed advises another moment you are questioning the very people that is trying to get some senses into him. What is your agenda?????
  6. Hi guys, Have anyone seen any Kole tang this week at any LFS? Regards,
  7. He is reading the post but dun dare to repond and also dun want to learn. Hey Lizard44, face the fact lah, be a man and admit your mistakes and let us help you to re-do your cycling lah.
  8. Hi Alfa, I think you are the best person to sort this guy out la. I personally have given up liao. With your no-nonsense style, I believe you will be able to knock some sense in him. So dun disappoint us ok, we will be watching and learning from you. Cheers,
  9. Smell comes from uncured LR dying off. You will not experience any foul smell unless you remove the LR from water for too long when you are transferring them to your tank. However if your LR are fully cured, then there will be less foul smell. By the way, I support your idea of leaving the tank to cycle for 1.5mths cause the amount of pods built-up is going to be crucial to the succees of your tank! But make sure that you have the skimmer running and no lights.
  10. I think he already knew what he is doing thus from the very beginning he has named this thread "Graveyard"!
  11. Clown swims in up and down manner thus it is alright. The rest of the params are ok except NO2 maybe its because added some more LRs. Btw, did you get there fiji LRs? Although they are $$$ but they are beautiful.
  12. BioFlotor cannot support 4ft tank leh.
  13. Yup. I ever lost a Trachy this way until I decided to hunt down the murderer by tearing down my tank! That's why I have been looking for other alternatives to keep my sandbed clean. Have tried out the Crabeye / Signal gobies but no matter how I do it, I never have success with them. They are now in my black book of definite no no fishes to get. I prefer the cousins of the Blue Streak such as Brown Bar, Orange Spotted and Sphinx. They are also effective sand sifter but do swim that high to bomb.
  14. Change the culprit loh. Go for Eheim, Aquabee, Oceanrunner, Sicce or the Rio HF. Eheim: Reliable but big and pricey Aquabee: Realiable, smaller that Eheim but pricey Oceanrunner: Realiable but big ans super pricey SICCE: So so performance but small and affordable RIO HyperFlow: So so performance but smal and affordable Check out the flowrate than get the correct flowrate to match your skimmer. Rest assured that the above models are quite accurate with their rating. I ever encounter a Atman 3000l when compared to the Rio HF 2700l the Rio pumps out maore water - talk about over-rating!
  15. Dun worry bro, blue streak is super tough. Like what diabolus said they feed by sifting through your sand for alage and micro organism such as pods and also forminifera. They are useful in keeping your sand sparkly clean. Although I prefer its other cousins such as Brown Bar and Sphinx goby. Feel that Blue Streak like to sift sand at high spot thus dropping sands all over my corals.
  16. Hi Bro, Not so about Macro tuning but as for the temp. If the pump feels hot upon touching, I think you better do something about it.
  17. Thanks Muar Chee. Hope you could assist him in sorting things out.
  18. I know of someone who after putting his hands in the tank water still can touch his face, nose and eyes!
  19. Cannot recall leh. Next time we must meet up ok...
