  1. Checked that link liao dun have what I have in my tank. I agree with Roidan it could be the labroides family but just cant finger it out. Its body and tails is a mixture of brown and black but there are four super neon lines converging at the point of the head.
  2. I think it is a wrasse cuz it sleep beneath the substrate every night.
  3. Bought the following fish from I Aquarium last Saturday but have yet to ID it thus need help. I will try to post as many shots as possible so that you guys can have an better look. Please don't tell me it is the common cleaner wrasse or its juvenile - I already checked, its not!
  4. Is it??? Learn new things again. All this while I thought they only removes PO4. Thanks for clearing the air.
  5. No lah it is the Callogobius bernardi! Thought we agreed with this name liao Diabolus????
  6. Just nice you post and I happens to read loh.
  7. DI = De-Ionized RO = Reverse Osmosis For the silicates in the tank, it will be consumes by the nuisance alage. And if you control the introduction of Silicates by using RO/DI the tank will be strip of silicates and thereby the nuisance algae will oso be gone.
  8. I use DI to remove silicates from tap water before I use it for my tank.
  9. Bro, we are still waiting for your pix.......
  10. I Terryz I was there as well. In fact, I have seen you a couple of times in ML liao. But never spoke with you as I dun not knoe whether you are from SRC. I remembered you as the guy who get the Exquisitus from ML before me. Btw, how's the it exquisitus now? Anyway, I am the one with office attire, obviously eating snake, next time must say hi to you.
  11. I glad when you see my post it dosen't remind you of a smelly tong. But I am sure William will be remember.....
  12. Smell you complain, no smell you also complains. No lar no smell is good. Anyway, do the ANN test to determine the end of cycle. As far as I know there is only one LFS that does proper cycling of LR - Coral Farm. If free you should go take a look!
  13. I respect your reasoning! As long as you know waht you are doing. Like you said "there is more than one way to skin a cat". Cheers,
  14. Leave it to cycle. Try to get ANN test kits so as the only way to know your tank is fully cycled is the readings. There bounds to have some die-offs in the beginning of your cycle, it is this die-offs that will multiply the beneficial bacteria.
  15. No time frame was mentioned by A. Calfo in "The Book of Coral Propagation Vol 1".
  16. Alveopora - Similar to Gonio but more hardy. The difference is in the tentacle tips. The Gonio has 24 while the Alveo have 12. Good choice.
  17. Organ pipe, Tubipora musica Check that the tube are not cut off halfway. If not they will not last very long. The way to select Organ pipe is that all pipes must end on a piece of rock and not by itself. However, most of them are cut across their pipes rather than collecting them as a whole rock. And without the bottom tubes they will slowly die-off.
  18. Pseudocheilinus ocellatus. No choice lah, just like I have a Leopard wrasse in my tank and I only get to see it on weekend cause it only comes out from 11am to about 2pm. I oso have a long finned pseudochromid that I only have a glimpse once in a blue moon if I am lucky.
  19. Pseudocheilinus - another family of wrasses worth mentioning! Maybe bro, you can do some coverage of it for our benefits. DA: seems like the Mystery Wrasse also can be use to control pyramid snails. "The members of the genus Pseudocheilinus are well known for their habit of feeding on pyramidellid snails (small gastropods that are parasites of Tridacna clams)." Advance Aquarist issue Feb 2003
