  2. Hi Lee, so you are the guy that paid for your items first right? Nice meeting you.
  3. Rabbit fishes are great algae eaters, they have razor sharp fin rays that can inflict a painful cut; in fact, some species have poisonous glands along their spines, which immediately releases a toxic substance into the inflicted cut. This has made the rabbit fish less than popular than Tangs in our hobby. Thus, please be careful when handling them.
  4. Beautiful pair! Where you get from bro???? Tracy Travid????
  5. Hi Fuel, Nice to know that you have settle down wonderfully in Australia. Too bad we did not have an opportunity to meet for coffee before you left - the last we met I believe is in one of Iwarna's night shipment. Wish you all the best in your studies and looking forward to your returning and sharing with us time to time the knowledges you have learn. Cheers,
  6. Oh my god!!!!! That's is really super "Boh Chap" liao. Wonder what they kind of husbandry they provide to your LS???????????
  7. Tineng, Dun go RT lah, you stay in the east right? Next time we partner weekly run from your place to iwarna loh. Can work out and yet satisfy our interest. Sure $400 in your next IPPT wan.
  8. That's a valid reason! Unfortunately, I can't use that anymore......
  9. Not trying to takan LFS owners lar, if you notice, most respected LFS will have the scientific names in their import list unless they dun do thier own import. But even then most will have a reference book to help them. And even if they dun have and dunno, it is still accpetable if they just tell me they dunno or will get back to me. But what is comicable about this guy is that he tries to con his way through. If me, whenever I buy anything, I will make it a point to know its scientific names and I have never been offended when some LFS owners tell me they dun know - I still patronise them. I must also add that there are a couple of LFS now a days that will provide scientific names when requested. But the most professional one is of course CF, they will print our they scientific names on their invoice.
  10. True ah. Almost forgotten about them, anyway since wrasses is the second biggest genera, I can be forgiven right?????
  11. I ever went to a LFS near Farmart and was looking at some anemones when one of the shopkeeper came over and stand right next to me and repeating: "Can I help you". Boh bian, so I took out one BTA and asked: "Boss, what is the scientific name for this anemone?" He hesitated but because alot of curious shoppers also turn to us expecting him to answer, he vomitted out: "Alo bera". *** Wonder where he got the name?????? It could be an Aloe Vera drink he has drank 5mins ago. ***
  12. Hi, I am 35/m, in the Documentation and Communication industry - dun ask me what is that, I oso dunno, something coined by my GM. Started marine with Seahorses and progresses to mixed reef and have never turn back since. For the reefers that knows me, they will know that I always like to used scientific names rather than common names. I try hard to memorized all the sceintific names of my fishes cuz I feel that this is the least I could do to show my respect to them.
  13. In case I spark and mass buying of wrasses. Actually according to most literature, most wrasses are not reef safe except for a few species. But as a general rule, most from the genre Cirrhilabrus and Paracheilinus typically feed on zooplankton and thus are considered by many as reef safe.
  14. HI Yiling, Thalassoma lucasanum aka Cotez Rainbow or Bluehead wrasse is definitely a beautiful fish to behold. If I remember correctly, I have seen then once in CF. But can't remember how much they are liao. They are usually found in Eastern Pacific: Gulf of California to Panama and the Galapagos Islands. Thus, I believe this will give you a rough indication of their price. Unfortunately, they are only suitable for Fish Only tank as they will feed on hardshelled invertebrates and crustaceans.
  15. I second that! So how?? Can I support on the C, labiutei? What is the figures like????
  16. The C. scottorum aka scotts wrasse loh. The are known to loose its vibrant colors in captivity. If I remember correctly ML used to bring in a couple of specimens but they usually arrived with dull colors.
  17. But they looses they colours easily in captivity.
  18. OK lar, I support of the C. laboutei, how many figures??????
  19. I'll be contented if I can get my hands on a C. lubbocki!
  20. Hi yiling heard you have a new toy, care to share????
  21. Thanks bro, will contact you on wednesday, maybe meet you at ML. Appreciate you help.
  22. I will usually reccomend Henry's frozen food to entice finicky eaters. Anyway, they are very nuitritious as well. Most reefers here have succesfully gotten their finicky eater to eat Henry's food. Most experts prefers frozen food to flake food too. You can contact Henry of Marine Life (Our Sponsor) to pre-order cuz they sells like hot cakes.
  23. lol. never mind lah they will strike a balance somehow. Btw, what is the size of your tank? Dun tell me it is 2ft hor, I will faint!
  24. The YT will be after it discover there is another YT in the tank, it will then concetrate it effort on driving it off and thus the BT is no longer the target. You observe another couple of hours see how? Btw, try to attract the YT with the mirror helps too.
