  1. Good piece of info by Iantoh. Thanks bro, for sharing you experience! Its been a long time since we have some real informative discussion in SRC. Thanks to all that contributed and thanks to M&G for starting this thread.
  2. Thanks Madmax! Maybe we could meet up one of this days to further discuss! Like you said, "Lets leave this for Plenium guys." Thanks again.
  3. Oops! Respect your secrecy. Sorry for probing.
  4. Up to you bro. Just remember, I reccomended you Mandarin and not 6 liners. So dun look for me if anything goes wrong. All the best!

  6. Try writing to Tracy Travid @ http://www.syngnathid.org
  7. No offense May&Bruce, but I have a friend of mine that refuses to heed advises or read up and in the end, he had a major carsh than ended his interest in Marine. I am not saying that all that experienced crashes are people who "Thick Headed", just some. May&Bruce, I am not sure what causes your crash. But one thing I am sure is that you have learned from it and will better some of us that have had it "easy".
  8. Iwaki MX 70 or 100 if you have so many T-offs.
  9. Thanks bro! Anyway, will be selling the Red Cynarina on the right of this photo as well as it is stinging my zoos big time liao. Approx size when fully opens is 8cm. Willing to sell @ $60 too. Same terms applies.
  10. So WL, do you think Zeovit will surpass the Natural Filtration Method or do you think each has its niche? From what I see in Ultimate Reef and even RC, most are still sticking to the natural Filtration methods. What's your take on it? TIA
  11. Hi Guys, wanted to sell the above mentioned Trachy. Bought for $60, selling @$50. Approx. 5cm diameter. You may check this Link for pics. First come first serve. Open for sale and viewing ONLY on 12/11/05, Saturday 11am at Punggol Central. PM for address.
  12. Here's mine. Artemas, will be 5 months old this coming 16th.
  13. You mean that wan is worst than this! Capt Freddrick right????? WIN LIAO!!!!!!
  14. All in all, I have done about 15-18 setups and I am very fortunate I have never experienced any crash. *Fingers and Toes Crossed* The only near crash was my most recent one whereby I was told by my friend that his tank never exceed 30 degrees. So I bought him a bubble coral. In the end, we have a milky tank! Luckily, we managed to salvage the situation thereby preventing a crash.
  15. Hi Bro? How's things with you? Yah loh, fatherhood is not easy, I thought I will have some time for myself last week since I only work on 31/10/05. Wanted to spend some time doing some maintenance work. But little do I know, I ended up spending more time on Artemas than on my hobby! DA can attest to it cuz I dun even have time to go out with him after he jio me. But I must say, I am still happy cuz I have had some quality time with him. Hope to have more info on this skimmer, please update this thread if you do come across any info. TIA
  16. Really solid like a rock! Thanks for sharing Iceman!
  17. He is so beautiful! Finally, I can sense that you are feeling much better now. I believe Kieane is also better now since the last we spoke. Take care Sis! Yup, Princess will be due soon, lets all wish her Best of Luck!
  18. Hi Zorden, Think hard to get respond since it is a very new product. I am very interested if I can't get good price/stock for my 1st choice skimmer. How about you? I see you posting the 9020, are you planning to get that?
  19. If you have abundance of pods, the population will be controlled by the Mandarin and not wipe out. There have been cases of Mandarins dying after being introduced into a tank that do not have enough pods to sustain them. But rarely do we hear Mandarin wiping out pods populations in the tank. This is because pods will still strives at the inaccessable part of the tank and venture out to be eaten when it is overcrowded. With regards to your recommendation of six lines wrasse, I think it will create a totally new problem of terrorizing new additions. Anyway, there's more than 1 way to skin a cat.
  20. So WL and Tineng, Do your guys think that The New Improved Berlin (Zeovit) method is good even for LPS? I have read somewhere that Zeovit method actually create a low nutrients environment that is very good for SPS but may not be that good for LPS or Softies. I mean, I totally am convinced what Zeovit can do for a SPS tank, but a little sceptical of Zeovit applied to a Mixed reef dominated by LPS, Softies & Fishes. What do you guys think?
  21. Yah loh, thats why we have evolved into Plenum, DSB and Refugium after Berlin. And that's why I dun understand the BB without Zeovit part.
  22. Another way is to aerate your water with air pump when you off your skimmer at night loh. But make sure you get the Rena air pump, they are quieter. HTH
  23. Firstly, the open seas have greater buffering due to its vast coverage and volume. Secondly during the night the skimmer (Waves crashing onto the shore) of the open sea still works. HTH
