  1. Good job bro! I have done the same test previously and have the same conclusion. In my test, I have also tried the Sera Glass Floating Hydrometer, found that it closer to the actual as compared to Swing Arms. Thanks for sharing.
  2. Hi Tony, you have come to the right place. Start by reading some of the past threads in this forum and post questions that you are unsure. Visit the LFS listed in the Sponsor's forum and talk to them to decides which one you feel will give you a better support. HTH
  3. Hi Bros, wondering whether are there any electrician among us that could help me with my tank electrical works. I have initially gotten a contractor to do up some electrical works for my new TV console and new tank. However, his attitude start turning south when I paid him in full. He have aksed to be paid in full as he claim that he has done most of the works liao and now just have to wait for my tank cabinet to arrive. My cabinet have arrive for almost a week already and he still have not turn up. I have given up on him liao and wish him well. Thus, I post here in hope that any bros here can help me with some electrical wiring works. I will need also some advises on what kind of sockets to get etc. Anyone?
  4. Wah Ah D3x your photo never resize ah????? Anyway, what you use them for??? Clam Pond???? Upz
  5. Yup, cuz when you do in Studio the drop in Audio and Video quality will be kept to the minimum.
  6. Marinelife's display tank, was done in similar methods. Just that he has to sacrifice not being able to fully close the door when he have FR. Iwarna's big display tank also incorporate a LPS refugium/sump area. You may want to take a look.
  7. I dun think you can squeeze a good size skimmer for 4ft into a 18" compartment with stuffs like return pumps baffle plates FR etc. Maybe can consider placing all pumps and skimmer out-sump. Just my 2 cents. HTH
  8. Hi bro, Wondering any bros here got more info of the Ecotech VorTech Propellor Pump. Heard it was featured in MACNA recently. Will be available for sale thru IceCap soon. http://www.ecotechmarine.com/products/vortech.htm TIA

  11. That's what I think will work too. Guess you have had thought over it quite some time. Do let us know of your progress! Cheers!
  12. Thanks May&Bruce, I shall look forward to your DIY results. Just a thought, where are you going to house the media? I believe the container will be in considerable stress due to the high pressure created with the chamber.
  13. Great! Keep us posted. If I remember correctly previously ANI & KATI medias are used but not sure about the modern DI methods. Link
  14. Hi May&Bruce, DI or DeIonization is one of the proven way that removes impurites in water. However DI medias are exhuasted very quickly, thus a RO membrane is addede before the DI media to filter our micro particles so that it will be less taxing of the DI medias thus RO/DI. HTH
  15. Wah! Once you mentioned it from Aquatechnic, its sold liao. I dun even have time to PM you. Sigh.... next time interested must "diam diam", just PM can liao. Upz for your blue tub then.....

  17. Swee man, its been a long time since I visited PR. Anyway, I have never kept the rest but have good experience with the Greiss To me they are worth your every cents!
  18. I second that. Sometimes we just have to step back and we will realize what we have missed. I was fortunate to meet a few senior reefers this couple of days. We always thoughts why the seniors are not coming in that often? Have they loss their zeal? The answer is No, They are still VERY passionate about the hobby but just that they would like to spare some time to life other important things as well. In Life most of us just have to find the balancing point. Not everyone is suitable to spend 20hrs per day doing nothing but 'breathing' reefing. Just my 2 cents.
  19. 9020 is not available yet. But the 9015 and 9010 you can get it from our sponsor www.reefdepot.com.sg HTH
  20. Very nice foaming! If you take a macro shots of it and post it in a non-marine forum most will swear that its the foam from a German beer! Yum yum. I am very convinced that this is the skimmer to keep a look out for. Thanks for sharing Eud.
  21. I remember the last retail shop that carries them is EAquarist Place but they have since stop retail. If you want to look and feel before buying, you can try Kent Marine Zoecon. From the looks of it, they are pretty similiar. Kent Marines products can be found at our sponsors retail shop such as Marine Life and Reborn. HTH
  22. You can get it from our sponsor www.reefdepot.com.sg. HTH
