RAV...your H&S is defintely good enough.....maybe u might wanna keep at most 2 tangs?? as recommended for my 3 X 1.5X2 (height) tank.... but i have seen small tanks with many tangs b4...my bro-in-law has a 2ft cube tank, running on lousy queen skimmer, he has sailfin,regal blue,and i think a purple tank....in tip top condition....

basically all tangs are tough to keep, especially the surgeonfishes as they do not have scales like purple tangs.... AT is not especially difficult compared to powder blue and regal blue, but they are more expensive....other tangs are also not recommended for new tanks....but since AT is expensive, the more it is a NO-NO for new tanks....

this had been discuss a lot of times....the conclusion....do it at your own risks..... so much so that it might contain 100% of minerals direct from the sea, it might also contain harmful bacteria tat u won't want to introduce into your precious tank.....deepblue makes sense, y endanger $1000 worth of LS with something tat u are unsure of.....the safest bet is to steal the sea water from AT's, deepblue, and other sps freaks' tanks...confirm 100% squeaky clean..... u might wanna do a little experiment yourself 1st....another way is to quarantine the sea water that u purchase for at least 2-3 weeks b4 adding to your tank....i've thought about this b4, but it is too much of a hassle....i will end up using it directly...

hermit, if u are thinkin of keeping corals, pls remove the bio balls....it is said to be a nitrate factory...

u might wanna start with cleaner shrimps and some clean up crew like turbo snail and hermit crabs....adding fishes will add on to more shit...without the clean up crew, detris will be collected on your sand bed and followed by ugly algae.... maybe sand shifting starfish and i think some gobbies do help...but not too sure of the name of those gobbies....experts help pls...thanks...

IMO, i think your sound might have been caused by the air trapped in the impeller.....but theirs are the motor itself.... send for exchange lah....any warranty for such an expensive pump??
