  1. hi all.... selling the above...3 sets available...selling at $50 each... threaded end kind..collection can be arranged... call 90024001...robin here...dun sms....starhub user...
  2. try to dig the venturi hole...it might be clogged as mentioned... IMO, i feel that needlewheel is better, considering if the same pump is used...it sucks in as much air as a venturi and the bubbles are definitely more fine than venturi...macro would be a cheap investment, H&S, deltec or euroreef are the better but more expensive ones...
  3. i dun think by measuring PH u can get an accurate calcium estimation as they are of not much relation... i suggest that u try to borrow it from a reefer...but the best would be to buy 1 set yourself cos u also need to calibrate to see how much kalk u need to dose...get the mini labour kind from our sponsor, its not as ex as salifert...and it is quite accurate according to the product review...
  4. i heard that for GF, u even need to show that u have a co. or you are a company staff or something like that before u can buy anything from there...dunno how true issit... and as for good stuffs, comes hefty prices...really terrible ###### horrible price...
  5. the remaining ones keep it as mahjong bets loh...hahahaha
  6. i can help at no charge...but u must pay for my transport...cab only hor...no bus...hehehehe if u need help just pm me...
  7. hahaha...weisoon is hai cheong's salesman...hahaha..always recommend hai cheong... hai cheong is one of the better ones...they have stocks for schedule 80, aw and 141 pipes...everything, every size...
  8. check out bio ocean, i think kenny just brought in a few rio pumps...for ev series, the recommended pumps are ususally under-rated in my opinion....u might wanna try the better rio pump, Rio Hyperflow 20HF...can check with bio ocean if u want also...shouldn't be much of a problem to bring it in...
  9. hahahhaa...good man...finally SPS without the fussy equipments... SPS thriving in FL...hahahahha
  10. love your super kiasu kiasi durso...might incorporate that in my next tank...hahhahaa...
  11. for laser cut...i go to AMK industrial park 2...the co name is latech...
  12. looks more like they put it in for photo session only... really amazing how clean the tank it...quite impossible in my opinion unless they scrub their tank everyday... and no wavemaker?? hhhmmmm...very very suspicious...hehehehe
  13. willing to take the candy coral if u wanna sell it individually...pm me on the price...
  14. got it 2nd hand from a reefer here...
  15. they are all not the same...although the ultimate aim is to produce as much foam as possible... external 3ft unit? how bout a gigantic beckett skimmer? i think so far that's the only skimmer that i've seen pple building it oversized... or if u want, an oversized needlewheel with 4-5 extra circulation pump...but so far i've only seen one person who successfully made a customised needlewheel impeller which i would say is of top quality, not the bio ball type...dun think tat person wants to be named...but u can find his thread in our DIY forum... as for venturi or air stone units, i've never seen a 3ft tall kind... i am thinkin of making a 3ft tall spray injector skimmer.i have my own frabicated mould for the spray injectors.. .. but then again, i dun think it is feasible cause it will cost a bomb to run it...we can discuss it via pm if u are interested...
  16. always the feeding problem... my rainfordi also not eating...tried brine shrimp, flake food, pellets, cyclopeeze and it eats nothing... just bought a red sea mimic blenny and also not eating...dunno wat to do with them...
  17. cutting down on the light also helps to calm down your fishes...then they will recover faster...a complete balckout will be very good...
  18. tanzy, are u a scientist?? u really sound like one...
  19. the air valve is the same as yours leh...i got the cheap jebao one lah..not your eheim kind..hehehehe
  20. okok...thanks...will do that later...
  21. as i mentioned, all skimmers are like tat...even beckett skimmers...but then again, 8hrs seems a little too long...hhhmmmm....die liao.... i will go to your place and check it out later...paiseh... uncle cmswong, any suggestion??
  22. wah bro, thanks for the advertising... it all depends on wat kind of skimmer u intend to build...beckett, venturi, needlewheel, air driven or spray injector?
  23. actually depends very much on preference...i personally love the shimmering effect of MH but hate the heat generated... t5 is excellent but i always feel that it don't have the intensity...just my opinion...but of course there are awesome SPS tanks that run only with t5... its just like the skimmer issue, there's never one that is the best for everyone...
