"possible" is not exactly wat u should know...."reliable" is more appropriate i used to have a tank exactly the same dimension as wat u stated, 6mm too....it can hold the tank but beware of falling rocks...i'm not saying tat 10mm or 15mm is bullet-proof but it will definitely be better..... i upgraded to a 10mm tank 3X1.5X2(height) to be more kiasu.... i've even heard of 6mm for 4ft tanks....it is really up to u and your pocket....

juz added some LS into my tank 1) 2 X algae blenny...the camouflage kind 2) 2 X camel shrimp 3) 1 X boxer (accidentally broke one of its claw, now become 1 arm bandit) all of them in my sump, added some PVC pipes for the blennies to hide...both of them very stone....not moving much....shall see how tomolo....

u upgrading your tank, then y u sell your old sand and LRs?? u will still need to buy them after u get your tank mah, u most probably need more also....juz my suggestion...

well, as for the bubbles....is it their idea of a beckett skimmer?? full tank beckett..... juz to add on a little there is a small LFS at admiralty mrt that has recently converted a few tanks into marine (used to be mainly freshwater)....the owner uses those kind of air bubble skimmer....one fine day, i went there to take a look....almost laugh my head off, instead of using wooden air heads(i dunno wat u call it), he use the plastic kind.....my god...the bubbles are as large as if i blew air into the skimmer with a straw.....hahhahhahaha

depends on whether the LR and sand are re-used.... are u reusing your sea water, sand and LR, if yes, then dump everything in 1 shot....don't waste time.... if u are getting more LR, as u are upgrading....ensure that the new LR are fully cured...if they are cured then dump everything in 1 shot.....the bacteria on the old LR and sand is enuf.... if u are using new sand + old LRs + new LRs, cure the new LRs, cycle the new sand... stick to these rules 1) uncured LRs, cure them 2) cycle all new sand and LRs, if u are not using your old sand 3) try to use as much of the old sewater, sand and LR as possible and the filters media 4) get a bottle of beneficial bacteria to speed up the cycle 5) MUST NOT leave your LS in a bare tank (without LR and sand)

i think the metal clamps are definitely safer....even if it rust u can change them, i asume that u use the pump externally, so no worries about rusting mah....
