  1. they are basically photosynthetic...give them ample light and they should live...but no harm feeding them, just try some prawn meat and leave it at the mouth...or u can even use more nutritious stuffs like formula one fish food, cyclo-peeze, dt plankton and all sorts of other stuffs...
  2. wah!!!! second piece only $20?? hai...i got mine from flub...at a good price too...darn!!! no space for the beautiful hammer of yours... although 1 head is dead, i swear that it is still a damn huge piece... hhhhmmmmm...do i still have space???

  4. my way of doing it...to reduce head loss...
  5. hi all...my tank is mainly dominated by LPS such as hammers frogspawn bubbles and softies like mushrooms....etc etc i will be adding a new RIO SEIO M820 soon, just thinking wat other kind of corals should i add.... i dun have sophisticated equip like calcium reactor nor chiller, so i dun think my tank and my pocket are ready for sps...currently the top portion of my tank is very bare...dunno wat to add...my 2X150W are positioned very low and thus i am afraid that any corals added will be burnt... any suggestions to what kind of corals should i add to fill up the top layer?? other than clams i cannot think of any other corals, but positioning the clams will be very difficult cos i prefer corals to be tilted downwards so that when i view my tank i can see everything...pls kindly advise...

  9. something like that happened to my hammer too...so i took it out and smell it....to my surprise, it doesn't stink...i know how bad it stinks cos i've got 1st hand experience... does it mean that if it doesn't stink, its ok?? thanks...
  10. and all your corals in your tank now?? very dangerous...better do a little water change 1st....maybe 20%...
  11. eerrmmm...i think silicon should be ok... but no need to buy glue gun, just soften it with lighter then smulge it all over, it will look messy but wat the heck...
  12. tell your fren to sack the contractor loh...
  13. corals there are quite healthy...bought a cup coral there at a low price and it opened up immediately when my lights came up on that very night...will visit there again soon...moron clown, u game??
  14. i thnk your tank and my tank is about the same size, wats the height of your tank? i think most likely 1.5ft? my tank is 2ft tall, so i place my MH really close to the water surface, almost like 4inches above only...if u wanna have a good spread, i suggest u change it to a 250W and take out all the PLs to save some electrical bills... by placing the MH so high up, it will reduce the intensity of the light very much... just my opinion, may not be the best, may even be a bad idea... another thing, the nails and screws, use the glue tubes to seal them up..it is those that pple use with a glue gun...wat i did was soften the glue tube with a lighter and then smulge the soft glue onto the screw and nail head...this will help prevent rust...
  15. 2500ltr pump? unless it is a pressure rated pump if not definitely not enuf for your 3ft tank...i am using a 3000-4000 pump and still not satisfied, getting the new rio seio soon... if my overflow down pipe is big enuf, i will prolly go for the rio hyper flow 32hf, 6000+ltr...ppppphhhhhhhheeeeeeeewwwwwww...no need wavemater liao... i think your tank is super new right?? think the bio load is too much for your tank...try getting phosphate remover(best if u get rowa or contra with a FR) and do water change more frequently to reduce nitrate...feed your fishes less...
  16. jie...i take...collection at your place?? gimme a good price can??
  17. relax loh...hermit...no choice, we still have to visit that place...cos some of their dry goods really cheap...hahahaha...hai....no choice lah, we so cheapo...hahahha next time just be careful loh...
  18. actually, 4cm is quite tall already...but the scary part is drilling the hole... y are u connecting both the tanks together? its not as if the fishes can swim over.... and 1 thing that u have to note is, if 1 tank contracts disease (hopefully not), the other tank will kena too...
  19. finally the eye sore is gone...time for me to do your quarantine tank....
