in my opinion..DE bulbs does not give a good spread, so it will look more concentrated and less natural... your new tank is a 6ft tank, maybe u might wanna go for 3X250W and use spider reflectors to give it a good spread throughout your tank... 250W DE bulbs also come in less variety..so it might be difficult to hunt down the colour temp that u want...if u are going for 10kk or 20kk, then its easily available...but for 14kk ranges, i dun think its easy to find...

i dun think prata will sting cynarina...i dun think they sting at all... my prata is just beside my cynarina and i dun have any prob... but then again, i think prata will defend itself from stinging corals.. my frogspawn dropped just beside my prata and it got terribly damaged, but my prata doesn't even have a single scratch...

feed once every 2 days... no need to feed them so much, it will dirty your water...unless your skimmer is super powerful...provide them with godd lighting like MH or T5... however, gonio dun photosynthesize, so u need to target feed them...i dunno how to...go search around and see how...

i've upgraded from 2X150W to 1X250W(spider reflector) + 2X39W HO t5...or should i say downgrade...hehehe using hamilton 14k bulb tat i got from deepblue...although a lot of pple say that 250W is extremely hot, i dun feel so...i feel that the heat generated from my 2X150W was even worse...i can maintain my temperature below 29C with only 2Xprofantic fan...when my MH are on,my tank temperature will not increase significantly, perhaps around 0.5C only...without MH on, my temperature is always below 28C... when i was using the 2X150W, my tank temperature shoots up to JUST below 29C...sometimes even above 29C...but not now... although i feel(comparison with my bare eyes) that the 14kk bulb is not as bright as 10kk bulbs, my corals(prata brain) at the bottom of my tank (2FT tall) seems to enjoy it better...but i also noticed that my clams are not growing as fast, which i prefer cos i dun want them to suck up my calcium... with 10kk bulbs my tank look mainly BROWN and very very boring...but with the 14kk bulb, all my corals ignite with florescent(excuse my spelling) GREEN and shocking PINK... i'm glad that i didn't get a 10kk bulb, and i will stick to 14kk from now on...

use the chloroform that they sell...i think 1ltr is about $12...and also get a tube of acrifix if u are not confident the joining parts need to be smoothed down with fine grade sand paper to give it a smooth and flat surface... hold the two joins together, apply the chloroform...allow the chloroform to seep in (capilary action, dunno how to spell)...then clamp it down hard so that the join will be secured tightly... apply another layer of chloroform after the initial chloroform dries...by now, the join should be quite strong... if u are kiasu, apply a thick layer of acrifix...as much as u like... that's wat i do, no guarantee though..

iwaki are much quieter and much cooler... vinoth has a mx-100 and it is much quieter and not as hot as the md55...
