IMO, leather cannot mix with SPS...the slim and toxin they produce when stressed is terrible... LPS and SPS can be mixed, just dun let them touch each other... i am going for a mixed reef...bottom LPS and SPS to cover the top...just like how DB did it...i hope i can get somewhere close to his magnificent tank...

i did 2 sets of the RoBEck Mega... 1 for Vinoth, my good friend as he is not really satisfied with his beckett skimmer..vinoth will be using it for his 4ft reef..but it is more like a future-plan equipment... the other for another reefer who happens to have the same name as me...and he will be using it for his new 6ft reef...

not really into the biz...with Reef Maniac and Coral Lab around, mine will stand very very far below...the becketts not for me...no money to run a 100+W pump 24/7...my RobSKim Mini 120/500 is only powered by an Eheim 1260 (65W)... i'm always very facinated by skimmer and the amount of dirt tat it can bring out...guess i'm just a "shitty" guy... in fact i've spent most of my money in building skimmers..lotsa money wasted to finalised the design...i believe i spent about $1k b4 finalising my RobSKim Mini 120/500...i guess i should have just bought a H&S...but its the fun of DIY that kept me going... as mentioned, all these are specially requested by my close friends..of course, i make a little out of it...but its just to supplement my reef...hhhhmmm...i think that's wat most DIY guys say.... these will be my last batch of becketts.dun think i wanna kill the market..already promised someone that i won't be doing them anymore..
