roidan, very chim leh...reading your thread is almost like listening to a debate... anyway, nice design to the downpipe holder...but wat if one day u decide to downgrade (i mean use lesser power) and wish to remove that compartment. i thnk with this design, u need to remove them together which mean tat it will be rather cumbersome... i design my holder to hold the pipe to the lower compartment...so that even if vinoth wants to remove the centre compartment, he still can do it with less hassle... just my opinion...

just like skimmers, different pple has different views... i'm pleased with my own DIY skimmer, but pple like roidan goes all the way to ensure that their water is 100% fool-proof... same thing for glass...as weileong mentioned, if our corals are lousy ones, then no point have sapphire glass... if its me, i will certainly go for acrylic...one reason, i can make it myself...but then again, the scratches will be a big headache...

i think,the trapped bubble within the sandbed is the nitrogen gas..if it is just on the surface then it is the algae... mine has alot... on the surface ...

i told him some LFS has dead rocks tat they dun want...but didn't say that they are willing to give..sometimes they just dump it at the road side, if u are cheapo like me, then just take loh...dun think they mind...

if the colour fades, tat means it fades into your tank...so becareful...i've seen artificial corals tat dun fade, which means it is safer...but i dunno where that reefer got it from...i thnk hong kong ah...

since then i believe it is still eating....whack him with garlic soaked food...feed and feed and feed until his stomach gets bloated... i always try not to use medication...i rather 1 fish die then to have risk all my corals...

stop dosing any cal or kh additives...it will slowly go down... or maybe u might wanna do some water change...but test the saltwater(newly mixed) before changing..it might be due to the salt...heard tat synthetic salt tends to have higher cal and kh...

jie, dun waste money liao lah... told u sapphire glass is not worth the money...rather u get an acrylic tank from IAN...much cheaper and clearer as well...but of cos more scratches also...
