i made a drip from a plastic containder and a small drip, sealed it with silicon and tried last nite.... the next day i saw that my silicon is not cured properly (not fully dried). my god....that mean my tank is now filled with silicon chemical....luckily no LS in my tank coz still running my ANN cycle.... my query is, after running the ANN cycle (another 3weeks), can i make a 100% water change instead of the recommended 50% water change? coz i want to get rid of any possible silicon chemical. (best if someone can confirm that the silicon chemical will disappear naturally.) will there be any problems? if required then i'll run the new water for another few weeks loh... from wat i understand, the bacteria grows on the LR and in the DSB, but the water leh?? any suggestion?

i called them up and they say there's the ball type and a spring type... price is a lot of diff... juz wondering which one is more suitable for marine fish?? the spring kind sounds like it will rust....

huh? wat do u mean? issit the size of my tank etc? now my tank is running its ANN cycle. i got myself the following: 1) 3ft x 1.5ft x 1.5ft tank + 2ft sump 2) using a DSB and only about 15-20kg of liverocks (getting more liverocks soon) 3) jebo skimmer 4) 3ft ATMAN PL light set with 1 Actinic blue and 1 white 5) a clip on fan, bigger than a PC fan 6) a bottle of trace element 7) a bottle of coral feed should be all that i haf now.....would that be enuf description?

now that i;ve set up my new tank (still undergoing the ANN cycle).need experts' advise on what are the necessary items i require to maintain a healthy tank.the following are all that i had bought so far.i saw items such as Kalkwasser, Calcium Plus, Rid Rust, Carbon Plus etc etc. wat are the necessary ones? i am trying to cut cost, had already spent $600 on my set-up. or is there any threads in SRC that will help. pls advise...... 1) a bottle of trace element 2) a bottle of coral feed hehehhe, thats all........

saw it in yishun, v cheap only..i think $60 for 4 fans and $70+ for 6 fans.... wah lau the price fluctuates so terribly one ar??

hi all, i juz got my new 3ft x 1.5ft x 1.5ft tank.....using an old water pump for water circulation within the tank but noticed that the water is quite warm, suspect it might be due to the pump.any recommended pumps tat is good enuf for the tank and does not create too much heat?

1) 2ft fish tank, not suitable for marine fish coz too thin. .RESERVED 2) Ocean Free Wooden Cabinet, bought for $400+ (with tank) 2yrs back. I broke the tank but can be bought easily for $50-70. need personal transport, item quite huge, would require at least an empty car boot. GONE 3) 11 GoldFish, they are called "shou sing gong" they are expensive for sure. Very nice if you have a pond.GONE

the one in yishun central is selling frogfish and lion.saw it yesterday, think it juz came in....there's yellow, white and a dirty green frogfish.personally i think the dirty green one is pretty cute.the white ones quite huge... the lionfishes also new stock i think..pretty small, think they are young ones. sorry, didn't check the price.......

hi all, i juz bought a 2nd hand tank and thinking of re-enforcing the silicon.i went around a few hardware shops in yishun but found that all normal silicon are not suitable for aquariums. is there any brabds recommended and where can i find it? maybe the price also.....pls help.....
