thinking of the following LS corals 1) 1 x hammer, green tip (at least 6 inches wide) 2) 1 X frogspawn, pink tip(at least 6inches wide) 3) 2 X pulsing xenia, (dunno wat colour, any recommendations?) 4) 2 X turtle weed 5) 1 X orange monti (at least 3inches wide) 6) 2 X bamboo algae (issit the correct name?) 7) 2 X coco worm (1 white, 1 red) fishes 1) 1 X purple tang 2) 1 X yellow tang 3) 2 X fire gobies (either red or purple) 4) 1 X bi-colour blenny 5) 2 X scooter blennies (i think its the rite name, the kind with red stripes on their white body, pls correct me if i am wrong) 6) 5 X ###### shrimps, 1 X coral band shrimp, 1 X red shrimp (confirmed taking from fellow reefer already) 7) 1 X sailfin tang equipments 1) 1 X 150W MH with 10kk bulb 2) DIY skimmer (working already but have to modify to fit new tank stand) very tempted to try powder blue and regal blue (dolly) but maybe later.... anyone with recommendations???all advises will be carefully thought over....thanks....

i've taken all my LS and LR out.... didn't know i have so much LR, filled up the tub... LS nothing much 2 X zoo 1 X hammer 1X christmas tree 1 X gionorapo (dunno how to spell.someone can correct me?) 5 X mushrooms (mainly brown type) 2 X clown fish (so far the only survivors) my fishes all died due to different reasons 1) anemone shredded (killed 2 damsels) 2) spoilt coral food (killed 2 fire gobies and 2 purple fire gobies and 1 bi-colour dotty back and 1 bi-colour blenny) 3) dunno wat happen (killed copperband and singapore angel) 4) ich (my powder blue) 5) sucked into PH (1 damsel) wah!!! didn't know i killed so many fishes already..... new resolution, minimise deaths in my new setup

wah they think the cycling an olympic size swimming pool ah???hahhaha anyway, u should get a surface skimmer (i think $15 can get liao) to attach it with your canister...the layer is toxic, i think it should be undissolved protein (not very sure) it prevents air from mixing with your water, so gotta remove them....

hi all, i am upgrading to a 3 X 1.5 X 2 ft tank...i decide to leave the DSB in my sump so maybe 3-4inches of sand in my main tank....not intending to keep SPS juz some common LPS like hammers frogspawn mushies and zoo (having 2nd thoughts now). might wanna grow a mangrove plant also, not for the N03 purpose but i think it looks cute if it extends above my hood.... so my question is, wat kind of MH should i use.... some advised 2 X 150W, others say 1 X 250W, my pocket hinted PL and my galfren sreamed "stop your stupid marine hobby!!" i noticed there are 10kk bulbs and also 20kk bulbs....150W and 250W all this numbers are driving me nuts and the numbers behind '$' is also driving me crazy.... any experts can enlighten me on the numbers??thanks...

if the welding cannot withstand the weight, i doubt the epoxy will.... welding can be done even with your tank intact....but i think u need to pay more to get the guys to do it for u in your house....maybe u might wanna get help from renovation companies? or u can look around for contruction sites and ask the Blangadeshies ( i hope i spelt it correctly, no offences) to help u. currently my house has some guys doing welding in my void deck....i stay woodlands 715...if its convinient, u might wanna come around here and ask...

well...i specially took out the thicker once....i would say its like carpet....i would say should serve the same purpose as a styrofoam....and not forgetting, i'm did not fill it with sand not LR, juz a bit of corals, maximum weight 5-7kg.....and water, not even 1/2 filled.... i know that it is a must to have styrofoam below any tank or sump, in order to compensate any uneven ground and to relieve any stress points on the tank....but if it not able to withstand even 4pails of water, how can it hold 8-9 pails + LR(some pple put LR in their sump) + DSB (some pple prefer to have the DSB in sump so that it won't look ugly in the main tank)??

and juz remembered, luckily i had enuf reaction time to take away my PC which was left on the floor coz i was doing some modificatin to the table....if not, i won't be even able to complain it online now!!!!

well, the tank was left on the floor with cloth underneath it, so i didn't put any styrofoam.... anyway, the split was at the side, in the middle and did not start from the bottom or the top, so i guess it's not the styrofoam thing....the best part....i have not even filled 1/2 the sump yet!!!!!

actually its not even glass...... i've informed my fren, and he say he'll talk to the manufacturer...... i dun wanna give names coz it might affect my fren and the manufacturer......

yup, i washed it and kept it for some about 1-2mths.....actually it's my fren's not mine....he upgraded to a bigger tank and wanted to keep this sump as a quarantine tank, but i needed it so i borrowed it from him....

hi all, i am upgrading to a new tank this weekend. needed to get rid of my old tank.so as preparation, i wanted to take out all the LR and LS and the water so tat i can shift my tank and stand away. happily, i took all my corals out and put them in a spare sump....so i filled 1 pail of water, 2 pails....3 pails 4th pail, while filling up, i heard...."crack"....hhhmmmm, maybe the sump is warming up (basically didn't bother)....fill, fill ,fill....smiling smiling smiling, thinkin of my new tank......... "splash"!!!!!!!! my worst nightmare.....the joint of the sump gave way........water came splashing out!!!!! stoned and stared for a split second..... "sis!!! bring me all the cloths in the house!!!" she rushed in my room with about 20 army towels..... took me 2hrs to clear up the sea water and another hour of intense mopping.... juz to show how bad was the split.... my hand is there to give a rough estimation of the split....so i would say the split was almost 8inches long.....can actually put a warranty card through it!!!! wat the F%*K man......

anyone can help??
