  1. if u can, reduce the light period or totally off your lights for two/three days (take note if u only have fishes and no LPS), all algae will be gone. then as usual, if u are hardworking enough, use a toothbrush to brush off the algae from the rocks and do a WC 15%-20% repeat the cleaning and reduce lighting period over the course of the next few days should see your problem vanishing sooner than you thought

  7. I have two razors in my 5', my lps n sps r thriving. No problems at all. Max I run the whites on 70%. It also depends on the position of ur sps.

  15. it may be the light but it could be the water flow, anemone prefers moderate light and low flow area

  19. i have miracle mud in my ref now, however to prevent the mud from 'kicking up', I laid a layer of live sand on top of it, was wondering if this is gonna change any positive effects of this miracle mud

Hi All, I am getting very different readings for salinity for both devices 1) refractometer (calibrated at room temp, not 20 deg) 2) reef Angel controller salinity probe (calibrated with salinity calibration fluid) the values I am getting defers by quite a bit, say 0.02/3 pts for example one would read 1.025 while the other would read 1.023 which do you think is the problem and which method is the most accurate here?
