how long do you have the lights on per day? (Minimum 12 hrs to have healthy chaeto) how is the water flow in the place where you house your chaeto? (there must be water flow, best if the chaeto is tumbling round and round)

for alk, you can dose food grade sodium bicarbonate (cheaply available), it has little effect on pH, however, if you dose sodium carbonate, it will increase pH. dKH = 7 is still manageable, however if it is slightly higher would be more ideal. CA try to maintain about 430 - 450, same thing, you can find food grade calcium carbonate cheaply for your monti, do the white parts still show polyps? if not, its a goner, better to frag it away

any seaweed from supermarket will do (much cheaper), just make sure it is plain flavour without additional flavouring like chilli, salt, etc etc.

Brine shrimps are does not have nutrients that can benefit the fishes, mysis is a better bet

check for NO3 readings, if you get some readings, tank is cycled, LPS are okay to add now, for fishes, I would suggest adding them slowly.
