  1. tats becos Kakani's pic taking skills are rubbish, pics will turn out very nice if the skills are on par to his sps keeping skills
  2. if you can rescape without accidentally breaking your sps, you may not even need to remove the current sps. Else to be sure, take out the sps and store them separately outside tank, in this way, you will have the luxury of rescaping slowly
  3. as I said, could be your NSW thats the problem
  4. no it doesnt, he is just asking you to check for wear and tear on the silicon in case it leaks in your niece's place
  5. you dun need another tap, I am using a 1 inlet - 2 outlets adapter, using the same tap that is feeding my washing machine, the adapter comes with with two outlet valves in which you can turn off the incoming water when you are not using your RO/DI unit.
  6. Mille coloured up under one month's of LED
  7. why do you even have NO2, NH4? your tank is not mature enough to handle SPS. FYI your big three are too high, CA, MG, ALK
  8. try henry's gourmet, am sure they will eat them. What is the size of your current pellets? maybe it is too big for them
  9. yes, you need to read up a lot on how to keep SPS, by your question above, I can presume safely that you have no inking about keeping sps at all. Please read up more and learn even more before to even attempt sps, trust me, you will not find success without the proper knowledge. Dun take this the wrong way, I am encouraging you to better equip yourself with knowledge before to venture down the sps route. Once you reckon you are ready, I am sure lots of the reefers here will help you as best as possible to start SPS keeping. Without proper knowledge, you will face lots of problems. My 2 cents
  10. go easy on the buying! you are asking for trouble, stop killing fishes pls.
  11. Pls stock up very slowly, the most one fish per week, your bacteria needs to adjust to new bio-load. This will help you in the long run, more patience = higher success rate.
  12. did u lose any of your live stock? could be the reason
  13. ever try taking pic without the blue light on?
  14. LPS 'close' up in the absence of lights, google it and you will realise it is extremely normal.
  15. its written there, location @ Hillview
  16. your nutrients levels are very bad for sps, for LPS, its acceptable, have to be your light intensity or rather, lack of intensity. pump up the lights gradually
  17. if you want to introduce more nitrate into your tank, then go ahead.
  18. How r the Chaeto now? Breaking off? Whitening? How long do u have the Chaeto?
  19. Hi, time to harvest my Chaeto (full of pods). Pm me if u need any, location @ Hillview. Dun mind Meiji milk or orange juice for my Chaeto.
  20. pump will not shred the pods, look at the size of your propeller and the size of your pods.
  21. warm light 2700k should be fine, but u still need flow
  22. not advisable to mix NSW and salt mixed, very tough to get the parameters right, same reason why one would never mix different brands of salt mix together
  23. is it slimy and has bubbles? if yes = Red slime algae
