try making the valley narrow and piling the rocks up very high for a dramatic " valley of death" look?

A can of the dried cyclopeeze cost $12 or $15 if i remember correctly. They can be found at both the clememti shops. However, i personally find them very troblesome to use as the dried stuff tend to float on the water.

looks like 2in1 bio pellet reactor + skimmer? good design idea.

How to perform Hyposalinity treatment
Soong Yu Juan replied to weileong's topic in Disease treatment/parasite/pest control
What are the types of marine algea that can survive in hyposalinity? Does it make sense to use an algea like cheato as a way of filtration since a skimmer is useless in hypo. -
any tips on how to keep them open all day long? i find it quite time and effort intensive to feed them....

Very nice suns... here is my contribution, branching suns. I find them not as beautiful as normal suns, just something different. The huge one to the left looks abit like cactus...

Can these injured corals be restored?
Soong Yu Juan replied to clownfish_forever's topic in General Reefkeeping_
lol.. most of my zoas are oke and can multiple but i think different types thrive in different environments.. for me, i seem to have no luck with pink types! after a few weeks/months, always waste away.... -

bro, i also bought before hammer from GO with brown jelly disease. Dunno by luck or what but managed to save the hammer and the BJD never seen again. 1st thing to do is to immediately incrase the flow around the hammer to "blow" away the jelly stuff... Throw in lots of active carbon and phosphate adsorber to your system. Water quality must be very good. maintain for a month and the BJD gone and never seen again... my experience with zoas is that very hard to save one.. no matter what i do, its a slow and sure death.... -
Feeding them is very time consuming. What is the best pre feed to make them wake up? I use cyclopeeze which is a real pain as the small particles always float to the surface.... But once they open up, its easy to feed mysis.

EvolutionZ's Shallow reef build.
Soong Yu Juan replied to Evolutionz's topic in Members Tank & Specs
bro, my tank very similar to yours. Shallow is good choice.. Easy maintenance, easy to catch fish, easy to rescape. I eradicated a zoa eating nudibranch problem just by using hands and forceps. Also, choose your wave maker and sand with care or else sandstorm. -
ok.. settle on this environment for it Flow: moderately high Light: low Food: Alternate between AquaPharm 5in1 plankton and Brightwell reef snow. Feed every evening at 6pm by pouring a capful into fastflow area.

Lol.. seems like the only thing i can do is hope and pray... Ok switched the flow to moderately high and it opened up nicely. .. any particular food product or size of food particles you guys recommend?

Just found out that the gorgonian I bought today is the hardest of them all. Do I have any chance of keeping it alive? Anyone has success with them?
