This creature is slowly growing along the stem of my Duncan. Its "white tube" is hard and it has 2 short "tentacles" that comes out from the tube exit. Anyone knows what this is and if I should kill/remove it?

Hi, does anyone know if Yuma mushroom stings? The stem of my Duncan, which is placed next to the mushroom seems to be injured. Or is this look normal? Thinking that maybe when the mushroom expanded, its tentacles stung the Duncan? Appreciate some advise, thanks.
